Mytheon

Sempre achei esse jogo um tanto qnto peculiar, e ao mesmo tempo qe prende a atenção por ter uma atmosfera mto boa e profunda, ele também te faz cansar por ser repetitivo e bem difícil, além de qse abandonado no modo online. Pra qm nunca ouviu falar, Mytheon é um jogo voltado pra mitologia grega (e egípcia na DLC) em um estilo qe lembra um pouco Diablo misturado com estilo de jogo de cartas... parece loucura falando assim, mas essa combinação ficou mto boa, isso prqê vcê utiliza runas pra invocar minions qe te ajudam em batalha (como se fossem cartas), e eles duram apenas por alguns minutos, aí vcê precisa esperar a mana recarregar pra continuar conjurando novos minions, e isso é mto legal prqê vcê vai colecionando as runas conforme coleta os loots e assim vai desbloqueando novos minions e poderes especiais, além de qe é possível controlar cada minion conforme desejar, vcê pode selecionar eles e sair explorando parte do mapa cm eles, ou pode focar no seu personagem principal e só ficar invocando eles pra te seguir e atacar os inimigos qe vce estiver enfrentando. Agora sobre a parte de lembrar Diablo, é por conta de ser um ARPG cm visão de cima e mapas sombrios pra explorar e bosses diferenciados pra enfrentar, tudo isso com possibilidade de montar equipes e mergulhar nas dungeons mitológicas pra enfrentar criaturas míticas e os deuses do Olimpo. A grande questão é qe com o tempo vcê acaba enjoando do jogo, prqê a dificuldade aumenta mto e é preciso ficar repetindo os mesmos mapas até ter nível e equipamento bons o suficiente pra ir para o próximo mapa... tudo isso facilitaria se houvessem jogadores suficientes pra montar equipes maiores e jntos focarem na campanha.. Mas nas condições atuais o jogo encontra-se abandonado e jogando solo ou em dupla a repetição e grind acabam sendo obrigatórios pra poder continuar, o qe ao meu ver é bem ruim.. No entanto vale a aventura de todo modo, mesmo qe por só algumas horas, recomendo sim dar uma chance pra Mytheon em uma boa promoção prqê qrendo ou não é um jogo diferenciado e muito divertido para amantes da mitologia grega e do coop online cm amigos.

Really cool idea, but there's some real huge issues with it. -Requires servers: Sure they've randomly turned back on after being offline for years, but there is no reason for FORCED always online. Plus who wants lag when playing alone. -Input lag: Actions are really delayed. Combat doesn't feel great. -Regen is very slow. Get a book out because there can be a lot of downtime as you level up. -No UI scaling. Like most old games this game could look great, but changing to high resolution shrinks everything to be unreadable. Lossless Scaling does an ok job. **You can use the free app lossless scaling (available on Steam) to play this in a higher resolution**

Game does not load, do not spend any money on this game, Devs hand abandoned it years ago. This is not a playable version of the beta 10 years ago or even the re-release in 2016, no content can be played here. You have been warned.

Logging into a server is broken. Fails on the first try every time and it's not immediate. You sit there staring at the screen waiting before a login failure message pops up. Works the second time however but very annoying.

IT REQUIRES CONNECTION TO A SERVER THAT DOSENT WORK WELL IT SHOWS THAT THE SERVER IS RUNNING BUT I NEVER GET CONNECTED TO IT THIS IS A SCAM FOR THIS GAME TO BE EVEN SOLD

Playing in 2023, server is working fine for me with no issues at all. As i saw many older reviews saying they had issues. An older game that has some unique elements to it, played it trough with friends with various classes. so far its been a blast. Highly reccomend Warcaster for new players or solo players, as with enough dedication figuring out the best combos for your class. You can and will be able to complete the game solo. Enjoyed the lack of info on the game as much had to be figured out on your own. Good luck out there yall.

What an absolute oddity of a game this is. As I understand it Mytheon was originally an MMO but now it just works as a completely single player game with a fake server that is just for show and it is played entirely on your own PC. The basic premise is pretty much Age of Mythology/ Titan Quest Greek mythology. It borrows a summoning type mechanic that reminds me of the earliest Spellforce games other than that it has no real story outside of the aforementioned mythological backdrop. It's not horrible but neither is there anything particularly good about it. Frankly, you'd be better off going back to any old arpg rather than waste your time here. Mytheon's roots as an MMO result in a game that feels empty and lacks the "soul" that may have originally existed when it still had its social aspects. Most likely it was just mediocre even in its previous role. In 2025 it looks like a sad artifact of a bygone age - out of time and out of place. Even if it were something you loved in its hayday; playing it out of nostalgia could only leave you with a sense of loss.
