Reviews
You could pick any other current ARPG and it will be better, just load up TLI,Poe 1/2, Diablo 4 and youll have more fun.
Another krafton classic.
I had a read of some of the reviews for this game and thought I'd drop my two cents. Seems a lot of people are just focused on the direction the parent company is going in the future vs. the state of the game. For me personally: I think the gameplay is very enjoyable, I enjoy the customization on a number of different levels and the interactions that the unique items and forging brings to the game. Visually, I think the game looks great! I think that the engine is not the best and there is some occasionally choppy gameplay, but for me doesn't detract from the beauty of the world, and how impressive and impactful I find most of the skills and abilities. The systems in the game take a long time to uncover fully and sometimes they are not very well explained, but I think for me this only added to the depth of the gameplay after a few hundred hours there was still more for me to learn/discover. I invested hundreds of hours into grinding Diablo 3, and I would say that this is maybe the closest representation I've found to that gameplay (far moreso than the current state of DIV) and is something that I can pick up and play for an hour at a time and enjoy it or playing for an entire day. The offline mode this game has, puts it in a tier above for me for playing on handheld and travelling - bad on steamdeck (more based on the engine than the specs) great on Legion Go 2 Z2 Extreme Last Epoch for me scratches a lot of itches and I believe the game is a great balanced middle ground between the smoothness of DIV and the complexity of POE/2 I'll caveat this whole review by saying that I will be disappointed to see this game head down a path focused on profits over serving the community (where I think most of the devs would probably align) but right now I think the game is fantastic.
Solid game. Duplicitous and greedy developers. You don't get another red cent from me.
They sold out to Krafton. Judging by the announcements made since, it seems to me like Krafton is intending to make that money back ASAP, by breaking promises the devs made about the monetization of the game. Apparently they're cashing in on the good reputation that was build by the devs. Here is to hoping that everyone, who agreed to this sale, always has a hole in one of their socks that fits exactly their big toe. Always.
280 hours spent trying to make the game fun and it just isn't. Everything after level 70 is a slog, and none of the seasons so far have made endgame even remotely enjoyable. Lots of QoL things that one would think would have been corrected or updated since Early Access are still not addressed.
Best game for a min maxing casual like myself, I have 3 jobs and I'm still able to jump in and enjoy some satisfying game time while doing other things like listening to podcasts/movies
