Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Reviews
It's a masterpiece, I haven't experienced anything like that before. This game is so creative and beautiful, I loved every part of it, especially the shapeshifters and dragons levels. I played it with my husband and it was the best game we ever played, we had such a good time. It has forever a special place in our hearts <3
Якщо порівнювати Split Fiction з A Way Out та It Takes Two, то в плані геймплею це вже абсолютно новий рівень.
80/100
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 30: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Latest in each market: best CN #13, worst US #90 · 12 markets collected
US · last 30 days
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 50.86/day in the week to Jul 30 → 53.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I honestly cant remember the last time i had this much fun playing a coop game, i laughed SO much playing this with my boyfriend and its easily one of the best coop experiences ive ever had!! hazelight somehow managed to surpass it takes two, which i already considered one of the most creative coop games ever made, and split fiction takes that same idea and goes even further with the creativity!! The gameplay keeps changing constantly and every new chapter feels like the developers came up with another crazy idea just to make you say "wtf" and then immediately start laughing. one moment youre exploring a fantasy world, then suddenly youre inside a sci fi scenario with completely different mechanics and the best part is that almost everything requires actual teamwork. there are parts where one player has to control something while the other uses the result to progress, moments where you have completely different abilities and need to coordinate them and even sections where you have to trust your partner and react to whats happening around you. its not just two people playing next to each other, the whole game is designed around cooperation :3 the boss fights are also amazing and keep getting more creative, with mechanics that make both players feel important instead of just having two people attacking the same boss. every time I thought the game had already shown its best idea, the next level came with something even crazier. the amount of different gameplay mechanics, mini games, vehicles, puzzles and completely unexpected situations is insane and thats what makes the whole adventure feel so fresh. and of course playing it with my boyfriend made everything even better, bc half the fun was just laughing at our mistakes, figuring out what we were supposed to do and sometimes completely failing at the simplest things together lol. there were so many moments where we were just laughing instead of actually progressing and those ended up being some of my favorite memories from the game xD Another thing i really liked is the length. this is the longest game hazelight has made so far, and depending on how casually and without rushing you play, it can easily take 20+ hours to complete. thats honestly perfect for a coop game like this, bc theres so much variety that it never felt like it was dragging just to make the game longer. Split fiction is without a doubt one of the best coop games ever made for me and probably the most creative one ive played so far. its funny, beautiful, constantly surprising and full of moments that are simply better when youre playing with someone you love. hazelight really outdid themselves with this one and after it takes two i honestly didnt think they could make something even more creative, but somehow they did!!
Перша гра A Way Out була непоганою, а ось вже It Takes Two показала вражаючих гемплей.
Split fiction is a fun and diverse local co-op game from the renown Hazelight Studios. Pros: -A nice variety of levels with different mechanics and interactive mechanics. -The side worlds/missions are delightful changes of pace where we get to be more goofy and just have fun. -Some good old teamplay mechanics, one person has to active the thing so the other person can do their thing and etc. Cons: -The story is honestly kinda whatever. The villain is just evil, and despite the game being about theft of ideas, everything in here just seems like a variation on already existing media/ideas. -The fantasy/sci fi settings do start to get stale by the 2nd half. They need to build on the mechanics more instead of just slapping a different skin over the same sequence. The tech outfits/worlds kind of all look generic, and many of the fantasy worlds are just different forest vibes. The side missions are the saving grace in the variety regard. Overall Split Fiction is a fun co-op game to playthrough with a partner. While it has a very nice coat of paint, the actual mechanics within very rarely fully engrossed me as I was hoping. Rating: 7.5/10
Very uninspired and very boring. The dialogue is cringy in some areas but it's mostly okay. The problem is that the game does very little to encourage teamwork. For 95% of the game you're just running down a hallway side by side and sometimes opening a door for the other before immediately rejoining. You may as well be playing a single player with how little interactivity that game has. The final level is creative and fun and is like what I expected the majority of the game, but it's only the final level. Pretty disappointing overall. Visually pretty but gameplay is a huge step-down from It Takes Two. There's also no puzzle solving or really anything to slow you down or work together. The powers you get each level are also incredibly boring and uncreative. Not the worst game but definitely not the best. We just didn't really have any fun playing it, like, at all. It's a shame.
Overall, it's just a boring game. The game has good graphics and, I suppose, sound design, but other than that it's just not it. Story-wise, it's such a cliche, and it doesn't engage you in any way. Same goes for the antagonist. He is a horribly written villain. The gameplay in each episode tries to seem varied, but in reality you're just doing the same things over and over, just in different packaging. Most of the puzzles are basic and just constantly recycled, THEY ARE ALL THE SAME, YOU'RE JUST PRESSING 1 BUTTON AND THEN WAITING FOR YOUR FRIEND TO DO THE SAME. I just don't find it very enjoyable. In the beginning it was a little bit better, but as the story went on it was just getting on my nerves. Still, it's possible to get satisfaction from this game, especially if you're going to take long breaks between episodes, but I think that there are better co-op games to spend time in(e.g. from this publisher).
