Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 25 → 0.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Retail price of $5.99 - that's a big NO. There's only 1 music track and it's super annoying, there's no timer for the levels, the movement is super slow, the incremental upgrade tree is very basic, this plays more like someone's high school game project than a fully fleshed out game. 30 minutes in = fully active play, no idler aspect at the moment. I'll see about finishing it in time. It feels very DEMO like and I did not play the demo, I just bought the game because I have poor spending habits. This game is far too basic for the price tag.
Kraken Cleaning is an indie incremental game that takes a lighthearted approach to one of the world's most pressing concerns: ocean pollution. Developed and published by Luka Works, the game places players in the role of a mythical Kraken that has abandoned its fearsome reputation in favor of a much nobler purpose. Instead of sinking ships, this giant sea creature spends its time clearing the ocean floor of debris, rescuing marine life, and restoring balance to the underwater ecosystem. It is an unusual premise, but one that gives the game a distinctive identity among the countless idle and clicker titles available on Steam. At its heart, Kraken Cleaning follows a familiar gameplay formula centered around collecting resources and gradually expanding your capabilities. Players begin with modest cleaning abilities, gathering trash scattered throughout the sea and converting it into valuable pearls. These pearls act as the primary currency used to unlock a variety of upgrades, ranging from improved collection methods to supernatural abilities that dramatically increase efficiency. The progression feels rewarding because each new enhancement noticeably changes the pace of play. What starts as a simple cleanup operation eventually evolves into an impressive display of aquatic power as the Kraken harnesses ancient forces hidden beneath the waves. One of the game's strongest features is the way it incorporates companions and environmental storytelling into its progression systems. Baby Kraken serves as an adorable assistant that recycles collected waste, while rescued sea creatures contribute useful bonuses and reinforce the game's conservation theme. There is an understated sense of exploration throughout the experience, with players descending into deeper parts of the ocean to uncover forgotten powers and secrets. Although Kraken Cleaning does not rely heavily on narrative, the sense of mystery surrounding the abyss provides enough motivation to continue advancing through its various upgrades and unlocks. The presentation complements the gameplay exceptionally well. Kraken Cleaning utilizes a colorful hand-drawn art style that gives every area a warm and inviting atmosphere. The underwater environments are filled with personality, and the creature designs strike a pleasant balance between fantasy and charm. Accompanied by relaxing audio and a generally stress-free pace, the game succeeds in creating a cozy experience that is easy to enjoy in short sessions or longer sittings. Its lightweight system requirements and support for multiple operating systems further broaden its accessibility, making it an easy recommendation for players with older hardware or those seeking a casual gaming experience. Despite its strengths, Kraken Cleaning does have limitations. The gameplay loop, while satisfying, can become repetitive during slower stretches where upgrades are temporarily out of reach. Some players may also feel that the experience ends before fully exploring the potential of its mechanics. A handful of technical issues and progression hiccups have been noted by early players, though none significantly detract from the overall appeal of the game. In many ways, its greatest weakness is simply that it leaves players wanting more content, whether through additional regions, upgrades, or post-game objectives. Ultimately, Kraken Cleaning succeeds because it remains focused on delivering a relaxing and charming adventure rather than overwhelming players with complexity. Luka Works has created an incremental game that stands out through its environmental message, whimsical concept, and satisfying sense of progression. It may not redefine the genre, but it demonstrates how a simple idea executed with care can become memorable. For fans of idle games, cozy experiences, and unique indie projects, Kraken Cleaning is a worthwhile dive into the depths of the ocean. Rating: 8/10
fun and charming, wishing the camera pans were smoother, and I hope they add more content, currently 100% in 85 minutes
