Movement feels clunky even after 2 hours of "getting used to it". Upgrades slow to a halt after "level" 9. And it's definitely not a clicker, management, strategy, idle, or economy. Fake shop flags for more exposure.
There's a dumb missable achievement that requires you to not buy a specific upgrade. I am NOT replaying the game just to get it.
movement feels off. i don't know what it is but sometimes it feels like my snake is either delayed or ignores my inputs. it also just doesnt feel good when it works. the game also uses buffered inputs so if you mash keys you cant control the snake until all those inputs have been processed so you can get temporarily blocked from controlling the snake while it does old movements.

>Notice I can buy the suspiciously expensive upgrade that seemingly does nothing (this finishes the game) >Notice I have more upgrades I can buy >I decide "lets play some more and buy all the upgrades before finishing the game" >I do this, and then finish the game There is a HIDDEN achievement that is only attainable if you finish the game without buying every single upgrade. You are forced to replay the entire game from start if you didn't get this achievement the first time. I have spent several hours on games I've beaten before, just to get a single achievement (for instance beating the entire game deathless) A game that claims to be part of a genre that generally rewards you for buying upgrades and incentivizes buying everything, locking you out of an achievement for 100%ing it. If you got this from the bundle, actually just remove it from your library instead of even giving it a chance.
Eventually gets completely unreasonably grindy
I've played a lot of incrementals, and this feels plain boring compared to every single one of them. If you have literally any other game left to play, I'd encourage you to play that instead.
Decent game for what it is but the achievements are incredibly frustrating
This game was so monotonous it made me question my time left on earth and how I spend it, lesson learned.
Snake with Upgrades. That's it. It does what it aims for perfectly well, so if Snake with Upgrades sounds fun to you, this is it.
So far this has been nothing but miserable, certainly not a fun incremental game where you spend 10-15 mins beating your head against a brick wall because the further you progress the more the game feels like the game progression turns into a sluggish nightmare, especially once you unlock the pink currency feels like no matter what i do, no matter how well i play, no matter how i strategize with healing, armor, green bar healing while make sure i always heal the damage before getting more armor you just have this annoying tongue that pinks up a pink or yellow that insta takes away a life or insta kills & even when you feel like you tried so hard to survive & collect as much currency as possible you go back to a upgrade screen where you cant buy anything to help with the pain 10-15 mins later after trying again and again and again its obnoxious and infuriating to play when you cant upgrade ♥♥♥♥ to help with the cancer that is tier 7, i just had to leave a negative review while I'm playing because this is cancerous gameplay for an incremental, where you play over & over so many times have nothing to upgrade to help with this cancerous hell your being put through and even when you feel you did well you go back to an upgrade screen with no upgrades to purchase to reward you for your effort, at this point in the game its not a matter of playing well, its a matter of having the patience to die what feels like a 100 times before you can purchase... 1 upgrade which didn't help in anyway and you realize your still have to put yourself through this monotonous unfun hell where playing well doesn't matter after so many attempts its not a matter of trying its just a matter of restarting a hundred times until you can afford something to make the next tier actually playable and you can purchase something to upgrade after 2 or 3 deaths, instead of 50-100 deaths to purchase 1 upgrade and that s while tryharding your tits off and strategizing living long enough to collect the currencies especially when the pink and yellow currency can insta kill you just by picking 1 up by accident because you have no control over what the ♥♥♥♥ the tongue collects, i would like to live long enough to collect more then 1 pink or 1 yellow currency & when i try to be strategic about it with the healing, armor and green bar healing yet at best you get to collect 3 pink/yellow as if that will afford me any ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ upgrades to help me in this hell hole of a tier level you play, its all so aggravating, frustrating, unfun, monotonous, tedious, annoying, retarded, unfairly punishing for no good reason especially for a incremental game out of all of these incremental games I've played this one fails at its genre and just doesn't feel like a incremental game or is just poorly designed, its just hard to say its anything like the other incremental games that exist that don't make you hate the genre quite like this game does.
