I really wanted to be able to recommend Koi, but unfortunately I just can't. It has a lot of potential and I liked a lot of it - the music was great, the graphics were beautiful, the gameplay was simple, but relaxing - but there were just too many things that weren't great. Even though the music is great, the sound design is not balanced at all and there's no way to adjust the sound effects or music volume. It was very loud. There was a weird advertisement(?) for an anime(?) that would pop up in the corner on the main menu on loop for whatever reason? The AI needs some work as the little fish you collect would constantly swim miles away from the main fish, even if you're not moving at all, and therefore get attacked. The ending is abrupt and the story incredibly unclear unless you find every single puzzle piece. For some reason the last level was locked when I finished the game? There was a long period of time during the credits sequence where the screen was still scrolling, even though there were no actual credits being shown, and then the whole thing looped until you specifically exited. Suffice to say, between quality assurance and and general decisions, there was just too much that could have and should have been done better. I'll be honest, I have no idea why this game won an award and received another nomination. That being said, it is priced very low and it is very short and overall fun and a good, relaxing concept. I just wish it was implemented better.

I'd definitely recommend this game its very nice looking and also has really good sound design. There's little plot but it works well. My only real complaint is the last 2 levels are very large and confusing and seem a little rushed. Besides the last two levels its a decent game especially for the price.
Koi is a very simple and visually beautiful puzzle game, it's relaxing and it doesn't take much thought in order to progress through simple levels. If you're looking for something cheap, and relaxing to play, then I could see this being your cup of tea 100%. The game-play is very similar through each level, but there is a good amount of content and as I mentioned, it is a very calm game.
I can only say that for the money you paid is worth it, but I can't really say anything else positive, a lot of times it feels like it desperately makes you lose as much time as possible to make you lose time (and not for atmosphere), the star level above all else feels just frustrating with the white fishes only getting in the way while not being a real threat, the immense and useless space made just for you to make more and more rounds. If the star level was instead some kind of playable credits it would have been way more fascinating. Because of these solutions the game quickly lose the atmosphere of its magic, aside from some highlights that make the title worth of its price
I was looking for a relaxing game, but ... I can't relax at all. You're constantly bombarded with sound effects of water drops (which I perceive as stressful), and there are no options to adjust the SFX or music volume. It's possible that other players find those SFX relaxing, so ymmv.
pretty chill, it was kinda difficult switching it from korean or whatever to english but i figured it out. overall pretty nice
there's something fishy going on in these waters
