Redneck Racers

Bought this game for 2 USD for sherry and giggles, not expecting anything. But somehow, i was still disapointed by it If this game was a "early access" games, i would probably forgive it for its multitude of sins. But apparently THIS IS THE FULL GAME. The full game has only a campaign mode that plays kind of like the game "Simpsons Hit and Run" if you took out EVERYTHING that made that game charming. All it is, is a "do various flavors of a driving mission, dont collect X, collect Y" and attempt to keep the brain damage at bay. After beating a mission you are rewarded with a handfull of currency, in which you can buy all of 2 or 3 things TOTAL. You can upgrade your (stat-less) tractor with "quicker engine" and "better brakes" OR you can drop ungodly large amounts of moeny and get a new (still stat-less) tractor. The power-ups are mostly "power downs" as you can get spun out (oil can), reverse your steering controls (whiskey/moonshine bottle) OR can speed you up with what is probably supposed to feel like turbo (a barrel). Also, the "hillbilly rock" soundtrack gets very old, VERY quick Once you grow sick of the campaign (which will happen VERY quickly) you are left with nothing else to do except exit the game and try to come to terms with wasting 2 bucks on such a game that would only be suitable as a FLASH game. TL:DR Do you like racing games? If so, dont buy this game as you can go to a flash game site and get much more enjoyment out of a free game. If not, really really do not buy this game 3/10

First of all. i want to say that i regret leaving this game a bad review. after playing it for a while with friends and such, i realy love this game. after putting over 5000 hours into this game (maybe 1000-1500 is acualy play time) it is certainly the best game ive played in years (in fact my whole life!) i first started playing this game since i drive tractors my self. but after some hours of playing it I GOT HOOKED. from that point i started playing it every single day, while having eather youtube videos on my second screen or having spotify up listening to some real country music. or having a streamer up, on twitch. playing it upwards of 3-5 hours every single day. i can certainly say i am eligible to write this review since i have acualy played the game for more than 5 hours.... after looking at these horible reviews it is mostly negative reviews and the people have 0.1 or 0.2 or maybe 0.3 hours on this game and they left a negative review. (and yes it has negative reviews) i was shocked when i found this out and i realy wanted to change peoples mindes that this is accualy a good game. now. this game has had some updates in the years. and they have fixed the bugs and some even couldnt open the game therfore they left a bad review in the start. i highly recommend you testing out this game and maybe give it a nice review. i mean COMON it is only 2$ i realy feel like this game should be 20$ you might think i am joking, but i dont. some people have called this a "flash game" a person even compared it to bad rats, i mean comon dude, the developers spent so much time and effort making this game and after all this you make a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ review on 1 sentance and you have less than 1 hour in the game. i would tell them to try the game again and play it for at least 2-3 hours or more if you would truely feel the redneck racer experience. this is a game ive played since i was in my late teen years, about 19 i think. i tought the same thing as you ♥♥♥♥ heads. i tought it was a trash game. but after a couple hundred hours feeling the ultimate redneck racers experience i have to say it is my favorite game of all time. second favorite has too be gta vice city witch i also played right before redneck racers was released. last thing i wanted too say if you took your time reading this review is that please consider leaving it a positive review, it is a game that truely dosent deserve mostly negative reviews. In fact, it now has mixed reviews, but i feel like it should have at least positive reviews. infact i should be mostly positive reviews, you might disagree, but this is my opinion.

No combination of changing the settings in the launcher could get the game to actually show up, it just becomes an unusable item on my taskbar marked "RedRev (Not Responding)" every time until I force-kill the process. This is still less painful than I expected the game to be, so may as well make it a 2/5 review.

I knew I'd be disappointed but I wasn't ready for the amount of disappointment. This game blew me away with how bad it is, from the "gameplay" to the absolutely horrible howling dog banjo music. Was cleaning out my installs and remembered this bad boy. It's terrible, period. It's not even funny in a "haha this is so terrible" kind of way. No, it's horrendous. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

I am fairly certain this is the worst game I have [i]ever[/i] played. Often even bad games may be worth a low price, but this game is not worth a single penny or moment of your time. It fails on every level, from technical issues to braindead gameplay. Avoid at all costs. Let's start at the beginning, the launcher. The highest the resolution can go is 720p. This can be forgiven if the game is good enough or it's heavily dependent on 2D art (such as visual novels), but no such excuses exist for this game. And as far as I can tell no option for a windowed mode either, so I hope you like stretching. And even with all the options maxed out here the screenshots do not begin to describe how terrible this game looks in motion. Moving on to the game itself, the UI is hideous and clunky. Once you've managed to get past that, you are stuck with the longest loading screen I can recall in anything short of a Source game in many years (and the art you're stuck looking at doesn't help pass the time). Then you are in the "game." Unlike virtually every other single racing game from a behind-the-car perspective, you control both movement and acceleration with the left stick of your controller. I suspect this was done to lazily match the keyboard control scheme, rather than taking consideration for what plays well (a concern you will see equally ignored throughout the rest of the game). The driving itself is incredibly lifeless, from the physics to the track design. Other tractors will come towards you and slow you down if you hit them. You get points for doing so, but it doesn't seem worth it considering how much they get in your way. If only you could plow through them and watch tractor and driver alike careen through the air, perhaps that would have been one sole redeeming factor for this game. There are also anti-power-ups (why would you do this?) in abundance in this game. That floating thing in the middle of the road that looks like it'll be fun? It apparently makes you so drunk your controls lock up for around 15 seconds, leaving you with nothing to do as you stare at a wall. Between the time it took to figure out the travesty of the controls and discovering which of the power-ups actually help you (only one), I failed the mission. Blissfully though, the game gives you the option to quit to desktop right then and there. That is the best design choice the developers made in this whole trainwreck of a game. In short, do not buy this game. Do not even redeem the key if you buy it from a bundle, like I did, hoping for a quick joyride. Do not let this game anywhere near your computer. It is, frankly, less playable than Bad Rats. If you do end up with a key, give it to someone you don't like or something. Maybe prank a friend with it. Do not play it.

Oh my God, can someone explain me please how is this possible that piece of donkey turd exist ? I mean come one it may look stupid when your dog is entertained catching the stick you are throwing for him but i would actually prefer to go and run for this damn stick instead sitting and "playing" this game. 10 minut race with terrible controlls and your bolid so slow that you could easily beat the lap on foot ... without running ... in fact without legs. To be perfectly clear i don`t mind the concept, it could be fun, but it`s not. It`s terrible game, it is just as bad as people say it is. Guys who made it should be sentenced to cleaning barns for rest of their lives. OUT OF CHARGE. Stay away from it. And yes its one of those games where the best part is removing it from your PC.
