The early access says there are some bugs to work out and deal with, and boy do they mean it. It's not a 'hmm, that's kind of odd' every once in awhile. In its current state, it could give Goat Simulator a run for its money. The controls are weird, clunky and not intuitive at all. His hand bangs against doorknobs in a really odd, gimpy and useless way, like in Surgery Simulator. You try and sprint and he runs/gallops kind of sideways, like he's taking the running man challenge. The black load screens were taking so long, I thought the game froze. Also, when you enter a house, they are completely empty, then you wait and wait and wait for furniture and items to start spawning. This is robbing houses. Time is supposed to be of the essence.(not my pc, it's a brand new 980ti build) I really want to like this game, but I don't understand why they brought it out this early. I mean, its right on the cusp of being completely unplayable. It may end up being great, but it'll take some serious elbow grease and tlc to polish this bad boy into something people flock to. I will change my review as the game updates.
Do Not Buy This Game! This game has been abandoned by the developers and yet they continue to sell it as "Under Development", that is just wrong. Several people, including myself have reported this game to Steam to be removed, since it is not an early access game still in development, it is just a concept that barely functions. It's fraud at this point.
This game... A serious disgrace to the unreal engine. From afar it looks like a good game but as soon as you either buy it or check some reviews, it doesn't hold so strong. Believe the bad reviews, the game is a buggy mess of a concept and executed horribly. I bought me and my brother this and it kicked me out for various errors about 3 times, also on 1 of the 2 maps ONLY, there is horrible unplayable desync. I would recommend waiting until the devs either get thier crap together, or actually fix the game. + Good concept + Large open world - So many bugs - Desync - Executed badly - No options menu - Bad optimization - Pointless VR Overall i'd say a 2/10
just get thief simulator
I really like the game a lot. But the thing that you cannot save your game progress, just doesn't make the game much better. I would play this game all day if you could save your progress, because then you could be rich and earn money. But overall i think it is a really funny game with a lot of features, but sadly with a lot of bugs.
Before I begin: I have recieved this product for FREE! I can however not recommend this game. When I found out about this game about one or two years ago I loved the idea, me being a fan of simulator games and at that time payday 2 I thought this would be a match made in heaven, I was dead simple wrong. This game had a rocky start, when it "released" it barely worked and was so bug ridden I was only really able to play it for about 30 minutes while already having spent 30 trying to get it to work, when I got in I tried playing the tutorial level wich had some signs teaching me the basic stuff but alot of stuff was missing or didnt really work. Now over a year later it is a little more stable but I have not seen any new features or any real development for that matter. In this year the developer (Meerkat Gaming) has released another game for PlaystationVR wich I havent played and never will but it was recieved better and seems to have done fairly well so far. I wish I could say this was not a forgotten game but it basicly is, one patch (sep 2017) in almost a year for an EARLY ACCESS GAME is just... I dont have words for the crap that got pulled by this developer. Games like these are why the Steam early access program stopped. If anyone would ask me to get this game I would give them about 10 reasons why not to, and thats just the first 10 I can think of.
This could have been great, a first-person thief game in VR!! I bought in very early, participated in the boards and was once called the "Community MVP" by the Dev. Now, 2 years later I'm advising everyone reading to avoid this like the plague. Updates are nonexistent, it's essentially the same broken mess it was at launch. Play this and you WILL get stuck in doorways, you WILL rage at the psychic NPCs, you WILL exit the game and never touch it again and you WILL regret spending money on it. Wouldn't be worth it at a 99% discount. Such a shame.
I have seen children without arms create better games than this.
I gave them the benefit of thinking there was like only 1 or 2 people working on the game. Re-checked it today and saw the last update was on 9/02/2017. This game is abandoned and what is here is a barley functioning "game".
Don't bother. Developers abandoned the game and left it here to milk money from unaware costumers. They won't answer any threads created on the Community Hub and their website is not even online anymore. Don't buy.
