Im playing on steam deck Gameplay: 8/10 Its smooth like dead cells Graphics: 10/10 Beautiful Story: 3/10 I dont understand the story because of the poor translation and its like worse than google translate Replayability: 8/10 its like an dead cells / diablo type looter game Overall: 7/10 just translate the game better and improve storyline and it will be good
I have to come clean.. I was pretty quick to judge (based on the demo) and I kind of regret it now. Don't play this rogue-lite game for the story. It makes little sense, because of the English translation. While it may not hit exactly like Dead Cells does, I can say that 7th Domain: ToCh scratches that itch. It hits the closest to it that's currently on Steam. Pros: + RPG-like system and skill tree progression and power-ups + Well-designed biomes and enemies + Many unique bosses with their own design + Multiple difficulty levels (divided into Lvl ranges) + An option to skip certain parts of a run (once you 100% the stages and unlock the stage card) Cons: - Very buggy (that one enemy in Mechanical Zone, random change of direction when attacking, traps behavior) - Grind (a lot, be warned!), you'll probably end up being heavily underleveled in the late game. - Poor translation - Often unresponsive controls TL,DR: Baby Dead Cells, but more RPG and buggy. Translation is meh, but the game works well. 6.5/10
there are some good bones, but it needs a fair bit of polish. the movement is janky, sometimes my weapons glitch out and i cant attack for whatever reason, i cant see what boss hp i got up to when i died, the echo system is confusing, the translation is rubbish. stuff like that
I highly recommend this game from what Ive played so far. This comes closer to scratching that Dead Cells itch than anything else Ive come across. The pixel art is nearly identical and idk it just clicks. As for the language issue others have reported: When I open the game, a language box opens automatically and you can clearly see the English option.
this is a fun little game thats worth the price of admission. Don't expect it to be a triple AAA game and just have some fun with it. On terms of mechanics, combat, map generation, power up systems, everything is basic and simple.
Fun game but lacks content. Late game you basically have the same handful of skill, with higher stats. Very little variation, which is big downside. Solid but probably wait for sale or additional updates to see if they add more stuff.
The exhilarating combat, diverse arsenal of weapons, and incredibly affordable price (this is a key highlight) have brought me endless joy.
