About
Psycho Patrol R is a mecha FPS hybrid policing and punishment simulator set in the decaying state of Pan-Europa. You play as an officer of the European Federal Police, a V-Stalker pilot of Psycho Patrol, a special unit tasked with counter-psychohazard operations and neural meltdown prevention using cutting edge criminological frameworks. The battleground of the 21st century is the human brain, the base unit of the hyperconjoined egregore Twin Terra. The soul of the planet is on the verge of collapse. Your chances are 0.001%.

The gameplay is a mix of free exploration based detective mystery with RPG elements, high intensity tactical FPS combat, combined seamlessly with operating your V-Stalker mecha unit to decimate your enemies. The world is open with a variety of different goals to achieve. The boundless blue skies signal endless opportunity.
Different weapons, from small arms to 120mm tank guns and DNA sniffers.
Customize your V-Stalker for a massive tactical advantage.
Choose from a wide variety of routes and approaches.
Open, non-linear world. Every quest is a side quest.
Unique NPCs to meet and interact with.
Solve the mystery of the Orgone.

Cruelty Squad was a criticism of capitalism and fascism. Psycho Patrol R criticizes the neo-liberal "alternative to fascism". As much as the game is frustrating, it's actually pretty balanced, it took me a few tries to start, but once you get a strong character going you can blaze through even some of the later, harder parts.
Virtuosic blending of Reichian psychosexual theory and tactical immersive simulation.
psycho patrol r is definitely a game, that you can buy, with money. (consumer softproducts why is this game 40 whole smackers)

I just can't get into it. Genuinely feels like a bunch of ♥♥♥♥ thrown together. Cruelty Squad worked, in its own beautiful way, but as an "Immersive Sim", playing the way you want is typically met with instant death. If you go in blind, you'll spend all of your time trying to recoup your lost funds. Its.. Just not ready. Death is almost instantaneous, but there are literal sections where you have no choice but to kill 10+ enemies to progress a side mission with no way of scouting out the area other than brute forcing your way in. It honestly, feels like ♥♥♥♥.
boss this is bad, the gunplay i mean, the rest of the game is fine and even funny sometimes, but something needs to be done about the gunplay, circle strafing to win every fight is not equal to fun, yes it's still in development but issues like this should be adressed first when making a game, i get it that kallio is a junkie and he hates everyone including himself, but psycho patrol r in it's current state is nothing more than a funny little scam by a funny fin man
One of the greatest video games of all time , the first sip make you think it's all style and no substance , few hours in you see it is an unique setting , combat , and story , tailored to help you , the player , get real life skills in surviving life in the european union. Now i know what you're thinking . Ebert said " a lot of fans are basically fans of fandom itself . Anyone who would camp out in a tent on the sidewalk for weeks in order to be first in line for a movie is more into camping on sidewalks than movies. Extreme fandom may serve as a security blanket fore the socially inept .... If you are Luke Skywalker and she is Princess Leia , you already know what to say to each other , which is much safer than having to ad lib it .... it saves you from having to know anything bout anything else. That's why it's excruciatingly boring to talk to such people : They're always asking you questions they know the answer to " One might see the paralel of these words , and the words spoken by other people who play psycho patrol R ; " lalalala philosophy meaning so deep you cannot understand it and i can understand it and that makes me better than you and my tastes better than yours ...." I disagree that the game is meaningless , the perception that the developer barely cares about the game and it's intended meaning mainly comes from hisa interview where he appeared to be high and answered every question with " yeah man i don't know ♥♥♥♥ it's whatever " . In game lore explicitly references real philosophy and does not misuse it . Game events paralel real world events and culture. The core is satire . The game’s meaning isn’t a secret club for people who want to feel smarter than everyone else, it’s right there in the systems, lore, and satire for anyone willing to engage with it on its own grotesque terms. The developer clearly knows what he’s doing; the “I don’t know ♥♥♥♥” interview vibe is just deadpan Finnish irony, not evidence the whole thing is empty style.
I love Yuri
When its finished and on sale the game will be great.

I pledge to uphold the law and sanctity of the state, i submit to the holy automatism of action, circulation of blood is circulation of power
