Juicy Realm is a roguelike game in which players must square off against bizarre fruits all across the world. The line between the animal and the plant world has become blurred, and the food chain has been completely disrupted.

A gameplay é simples e intuitiva.
Another good roguelike that doesn't overstay its welcome. You can complete a full run on your first or second try. To get all achievements you'll need to do some grinding, but it's not tedious work since the core gameplay is just pure fun, although a bit on the easier side (which is a plus if you want a fairly chill game). This game shines with its art style and animations. There are a lot of different weapons. Some are just plain bad and clunky, while others can rip through enemies and bosses in seconds. You can complete a full run in about 25-40 minutes if you fully explore all rooms. (This game lacks content variety and length.)The biggest downside is that you can't start with different (random) weapons; you're always stuck with the one that's assigned to your chosen character. This makes the start of many runs feel very similar. Not being able to re-roll shop items is another feature that's missing in this game. Cool little game.
Juicy Realm is the kind of game that grabs your attention before you even fire the first shot. Developed by SpaceCan and published by XD, it embraces a wonderfully absurd premise—sentient fruit have risen to claim the top of the food chain—and uses that absurdity as the foundation for a fast, colorful, and highly accessible twin-stick roguelike shooter. From the opening cutscene to the first chaotic firefight, the game makes its tone unmistakably clear: this is a lighthearted, cartoon-styled romp built on a rock-solid action core. The visual identity is one of its most immediate strengths. Enemies burst into slices, ooze juice instead of blood, and animate with expressive flair. Each zone feels distinct yet cohesive, unified by the vibrant palette and crisp character art that make Juicy Realm stand out even among a crowded field of indie shooters. The moment-to-moment gameplay delivers exactly what a twin-stick roguelike should: brisk movement, tight dodging, constant gunfire, and a steady flow of pickups to keep each run feeling energized. You choose from a roster of characters, each equipped with a unique passive ability or signature item, and dive into randomly generated stages filled with fruit-based foes. The controls are responsive and immediate, allowing you to focus on movement patterns, bullet avoidance, and positioning rather than fighting against sluggish mechanics. Loot drops and weapons are intentionally playful, sometimes bordering on ridiculous, and part of the game’s appeal lies in discovering unconventional guns that fire bread, pets, or other comedic ammunition types. This whimsical armory gives the combat a sense of creativity and unpredictability that helps offset the otherwise straightforward structure. Progression follows a roguelite model where each failed run gives you resources to invest in long-term upgrades, new characters, and base-camp improvements. This persistent growth helps maintain momentum across attempts and encourages experimentation with different playstyles. Unlockable gear, new abilities, and stat boosts create a satisfying loop of “one more run,” and the variety of zones—lush forests, arid deserts, icy tundras—keeps early hours feeling fresh. Boss encounters punctuate the action with larger-than-life fruit monstrosities, each with a distinct personality and attack pattern. These fights are some of the most memorable moments in the game, offering tightly choreographed, visually entertaining bursts of challenge. Yet for all its charm and polish, Juicy Realm is not without limitations. Its longevity depends heavily on how much enjoyment you derive from the fundamental action loop, because the game does not evolve as dramatically as some of its genre peers. While each character technically offers a different approach, their distinctions are relatively subtle, meaning that long-term replayability relies more on weapon randomness than meaningful character divergence. After several hours, patterns in enemy encounters and zone design begin to repeat, and once you’ve completed the available biomes, the sense of discovery gradually fades. The procedural generation is competent, but it doesn’t create wildly different scenarios from run to run, and players seeking near-endless mechanical depth may find the experience thinner than expected. Another notable limitation is the absence of online co-op. The local cooperative mode is a highlight—sharing the chaos with a second player amplifies the game’s personality and enhances its energy—but modern roguelike fans may feel the lack of online multiplayer holds the title back from its full potential. Additionally, some quality-of-life features are minimal, such as limited map tools or sparse meta-progression menus, which reinforce the game’s identity as a light, streamlined experience rather than a deeply layered one. Despite these drawbacks, Juicy Realm succeeds wholeheartedly at what it sets out to be: a bright, energetic, and highly approachable twin-stick roguelike packed with humor and charm. It offers a brisk, pick-up-and-play format with enough flair to make each run enjoyable, especially for players who appreciate clever enemy designs and imaginative weaponry. It may not be the most complex or endlessly replayable entry in the genre, but it stands out through personality alone and offers a solid, satisfying burst of action that doesn’t overstay its welcome. For fans of colorful indie shooters, couch co-op sessions, or games that aren’t afraid to be delightfully silly, Juicy Realm is a refreshing treat. Rating: 8/10
