About
Jargon is a deceptively relaxing deckbuilder where classic word games meet modern roguelites.

Build words on the board, collect powerful books that rewrite the rules, and experiment with wild combos as the game escalates around you. Play Buzzwords to unlock game-changing perks, then adapt as new modifiers, curses, and twists pile on.

Between rounds, visit a little bookshop stocked with classic literature, enchanted runes, special stickers, and occasionally bombs.
What kind of bookstore sells bombs, you ask?
What are you, a cop?

Whether you’re carefully crafting clever plays or watching your build spiral completely out of control, Jargon is about pushing systems until they break.
Features:
Over 60 books that radically change how words score and behave

A wide variety of items that enchant letters and reshape the board
Four game modes, each with five escalating difficulty levels

A cozy jazz soundtrack that stays calm while everything else falls apart
Put your wordsmithing skills to the test in Jargon!

I came across this game on a youtube short, and it did not disappoint. It's pretty well designed from a gameplay perspective, and it makes you really think about what you're doing. It is very relaxing and fun, and it is definitely visually designed by 1 person but still has its charm. I will say the soundtrack while it's very good, it does get a bit old, and it could use some variety A very good feature would be to implement custom wordlists, allowing users to design some fun minigames. It could even be the basis for custom languages, if custom tiles can also be configured. Overall, this is a very strong 8.5/10 and I fear the addiction that will come.
[Played a few hours of the demo and one run of the full game] It's another balatro scrabble game. I'd recommend trying the demo; the full game is basically that but longer with more complicated jokers (books) and additional game modes. Besides the obvious synergy building aspects, I'd say the most compelling part of the game is the persistent gameboard. In other balatro scrabble games I've seen, each round starts fresh, but in this one you have to balance the tiles on board with the tiles in your bag to make sure you have access to useful letters, places to play them, and whatever tiles on the board your jokers might scale with. It's neat! The bounty words are also a nice touch. I often found myself spending a bunch of resources to play for them, and the game made it worth the effort in most cases. So yeah, if you want a couple innovations on the genre, Jargon is a good place to look.

It's a word game. The mutipliers are interesting and the mechanics of having to blow up tiles to not run out of them adds a layer of strategy as it allows you to clear board areas to reuse them. Honestly one of the better word games out there.
I really like this game, its more than just a word game there is strategy involved too...the only draw back is that I am used to playing UK scrabble which allows every word from any recognized dictionary to be used, this game only allows the words accepted by the US dictionaries it seems....solid 9/10 from me, would have been 10 if it allowed every valid word in UK scrabble....I can only hope for an update :)
A fun, chill scrabble based roguelike. It takes a bit to click, but once it does it's very satisfying. I like to play a game of two before bed, it's a good way to relax at the end of the day.
