Despite graphics being poorly optimized, the game is a pretty good compromise between jagged alliance 2 wildfire and XCOM-like games. Some of the OG characters are back, and some are new if somebody would argue about that. If you want more of the jagged alliance 2 characters, open the workshop (the only AIM mercenaries missing today are Scream and Lucky); if you want fresh mercenaries because you are tired of playing the same characters for 32 years already, you can also open the Steam Workshop. I am not playing long enough to notice a lack of weapons or a lack of weapon variants. Unfortunately, I noticed that bleeding and wounds are not goosebumping like they did in og jagged alliance 2 - when you heard that, for example, Ivan was bleeding, the first thing you did was look at how much time you had to save him before he bled out (by looking where he was shot). Here, bleeding is simpler and more boring; it's more like XCOM, so you're bleeding for a few turns. If you feel unconscious, you will bleed out. If you are at full health and bleeding runs out, you will just get a wound (1 health bar less until you rest and aid it on the map). Also, the second thing missing is not disarming when shooting an enemy in the hand or knocking them to the ground when shooting feet or knees. The map is huge, but it's hard for me to tell right now if it's good or bad (copy-paste sectors). It's fair to say that it's the best jagged alliance game after the last release of jagged alliance 2 (I don't remember if it was unfinished business or wildfire).

As a lover of Battle Brothers, this game gets an A+ from me. The gameplay is tactical and tight, character design is creative and engaging, and the campaign is full of content and replay-able.

Personally never played Jagged Alliance 2, but now I kind of get the hype. After finishing this i'll try the OG game.

Great game if you like TBS and map management. Saying this as huge Xcom series fan

De los mejores juegos de estrategia por turnos que he jugado nunca. Profundidad, crafteo, gestión de recursos, control de mapa/sectores... y encima te partes el culo con el humor que tiene el juego. 12/10.
