Beautiful game, fun gameplay
I really like how this game is hand drawn. There are several puzzles to solve to progress through the game. During your travel through the game, be on the lookout for canvases (paintings) that add artwork from the game to the Gallery, and go towards achievements. The version of the game that I am playing, only has 15 achievements. It is confusing because there is a guide that talks about 30 achievements. I am currently on Chapter III, and it is very challenging, and I still have a long way to go. I really think that this would be an enjoyable relaxing game for almost anyone who loves thinking puzzles. The hidden canvases give you the chance to look at all the artwork. Movement is all controlled by the mouse.
Inked: A Tale of Love is a very pretty casual puzzler with the most eye-rollingly trite storyline of all time. I guess the developer was trying to exorcise their demons by adding a literal artist insert character whose constant vapid musing on grief reflects some kind of personal journey, but, like, it's not our journey, you know? The artwork is charming, but no player is going to shed a tear over a bunch of block and lever puzzles. Usually I like dialog and find games that leave it out to be a bit pretentious, but in this case it would have really improved the pacing to cut out all the narration. It's so on-the-nose that it very nearly ruins the whole game. I would strongly advise anyone playing this to turn off the sound and ignore the subtitles, put on some ambient beats instead and just enjoy wandering about a beautiful, ink-drawn, isometric landscape pushing blocks and pulling levers. None of the puzzles are hard. There is an overlapping hidden object mini game you can do for achievements too. It's got similar chill vibes to Monument Valley.
This game is really pretty. The sketchy, ink style is so unique and the puzzles were all decently challenging! Each level also adds a new gimmick that kept the game fresh and interesting the whole way through! The narrative also went a direction I was not expecting and it made the experience all the better for it! I would definitely recommend!
Lo ame, lo odie y lo volví a amar
A very fine puzzle game, with decent puzzles and a very interetsing story and good soundtrack!
PLAY THIS GAME plz...
Short game about dealing with grief and moving on. Some interesting puzzles. Get it in a discount if you like storytelling and you don't mind short games.
my oh my. I went absolutely blind to Inked, and mostly because I am learning to play with controller. And I absolutely wasn't ready for such a lovely, emotional and beatiful experience. Unique visual with simple yet sometimes head-scratching moments, absolutely gorgeous soundtrack and humane vibe. I can't recommend it more if you want something casual but not without a purpose and you enjoy puzzles as well. Loved it.
