About
Incretyper is a unique incremental game with typing elements that starts very simple and gradually spirals into overwhelming chaos. Destroy shapes by typing their words, earn resources and unlock powerful upgrades that turn simple keystrokes into unstoppable chain reactions. What begins as a slow experience, quickly evolves into a fast-paced and deeply satisfying flow.
Incretyper focuses on the joy of progression. Every upgrade matters. Every improvement feels impactful. As you progress, your typing power increases dramatically. Unlock upgrades that let you destroy multiple shapes at once, trigger chain effects and increase your efficiency.
As upgrades stack, the game transforms completely. A single typed word can trigger massive chain reactions across the screen. Unleash chaos with every word you type. The stronger you become, the more addictive the flow feels.

The game has some potential, but I feel it was released in an unfinished state. There is almost exactly an hour of gameplay. There is no prestige system or even a real ending. You just unlock all the upgrades and then you're done. No achievements either. What's there is good. It is just disappointing from a "what could be" perspective, as it does have promising bones to it. If you're looking for an hour of some typing, then you'll be satisfied. If you're looking for a complete, emergent, satisfying experience over the course of a few hours, you will not find that here. The word pool used for the game is also quite small and limited.
Edit- Following the update I would say this game is now worth the price, with over triple the total playtime (although I suppose triple 1 hour isn't really that impressive). I still wish it did more though, while it just about justifies the price, 3 hours for an incremental game is still pretty rough. Props to devs for adding achievements though- I didn't really have to go out of my way to do any of them but I know some people prefer it that way. [Previous review] Fun little game but 1 hour of gameplay for an incremental game is rough, especially considering there are no challenges or achievements within the game. Is it worth 3 quid? eh... it depends what you want, for the same price you could get infinitely more time out of something like buckshot roulette. I won't be returning the game as I hope more work will be done and additions will be made to it going forward. 4/10 its 45mins to an hour of mindless fun and its cool that you can also control the menus by typing words. I honestly feel pretty neutral about this game and leaving a negative review seems mean since as of currently this is the only review on the page. I don't necessarily recommend it but it definitely has a lot of potential.
Definitely worth the price. Relaxing, minimalist and clean but still challenging as you push yourself to type faster and faster. Skill tree has various upgrade options and game gets more fun as you progress.
fun little game that can help you solidify your typing skills in a somewhat new and interesting way, as proof of concept it works well, as product there could definitely be a bit more. this game could really shine with an infinity mode with lives, more languages, extended typing functions like uppercase and punctuation. maybe you could even extend the game to include not only words but phrases at higher levels.
Managed to complete the game in about ~55 minutes, pretty fun and a really good concept, but this feels so unfinished, no proper ending, few upgrades, no prestiges etc.. I want to spell supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
Way better than ea sports and console gaming combined.
FIX THE FLUFFING E KEY ON THE MENU ITEM SELECT OPTIONS FOR GOODNESS SAKES FIX IT ON THE MENU. Game works great except for when you are on the MENU TO SELECT WHETHER YOU WANT TO PLAY AGAIN OR GO BACK TO THE UPGRADES and is super fun to play. This game is so addicting for people who like to type or want to type more. But when you are ON THE MENU AND YOU PRESS THE E KEY IT SOMETIMES JUST STOPS WORKING AND IS SUPER ANNOYING. Only on the menu though, so gameplay doesn't get messed up. edit: Just beat it. The game could use a lot more words, I think the challenge of the typing could increase with said words too. To scale the upgrades could match that, making the game larger, and with bigger words it would make it a tad more challenging to max out the simple board of dopamine bonuses. Still a fun endeavor, and worth the three bucks I threw at it.
The timer sucks, im playing it non stop, needs to have an endless mode.
Price tag is close to value. The ascension system is poorly designed as there is no unachievable point that you make closer progress towards. I wouldn't say reaching first ascension is even slower when compared to further "progress." Ascensions lack noticeable benefit. The incremental gameplay is <20-30 mins. Will keep an eye out for any future updates. Neutral truly. But choosing would not recommend.
