Great game if you like grand strategies, especially paradox games. Most similar to Eu4 in game play though it has the feel of Ck3.

Started as Rome, ended up with a map that looked like a collapsed Wetherspoons toilet. Ten minutes in, my generals betrayed me, half the provinces revolted, and barbarians were setting up shop in my capital. Civil wars aren’t a feature, they’re the entire game loop. Population system is basically The Sims if everyone’s furious and armed. Clunky, confusing, occasionally soul-destroying… but also brilliant.

The game is pretty much dead. Shame I would love to see an update to the longevity of the game duration.
Paradoxically this is the only Paradox Interactive game where people don't want to form Rome.
