Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Aug 19 → 1/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Really fun game and makes for an incredibly nice break from hoi4 burnout

The game had a rough start, but after almost a decade of neglect and love from the devs/modders I can confidently say this is the best Paradox title since EU4, and nothing even comes close, EU5 can eat sh!t.
Absolutely recommended to check out if you love the other major paradox strategy games; this one is a masterpiece. Unfortunately, it was completely abandoned by Paradox, so spend your money only when it's on sale in any case.
Forgotten masterpiece! If you look at EUV struggling to deliver what the audience really want: then probably you'll find a lot to enjoy in this game! With a famous Invictus mode it truly delivers!
It get a thumbs up, but I would recommend every other Paradox game before this. Very frustrating late-game with large empire battles, with enemies coming in massive stacks...more like space-invaders that strategy. Combat mostly is whomever brought more troops will win. Worst menu system of any of the paradox games, I can't put my finger on why. All those negatives aside, it's a good mix of features from CK3 and EU4 (albeit inferior to both). Pop management, once you get used to the system, is by far the most rewarding aspect of the game. Army/navy automation is a nice feature, but they lose if you don't micro. I appreciate all the countless hours designers and engineers put into this game, and could recommend it to seasoned Paradox fans...but don't make this one your first.
Been Playing as Judea for 8 hours straight with only prior paradox game knowledge, and Ive had so much fun, great game, glad i didnt skip over
Original review below, however there have been changes to this game that force me to change my review to negative. The use of regurgitative AI that takes pirated data and then freely infringes on artistic copyrights is abhorrent and obviously illegal. I morally cannot justify supporting Paradox games any further until they stop stealing other people's creative efforts without proper compensation. Imperator Rome was originally not very fun due to the wide variety of currencies used, multiple important uses for each currency, and general feature bloat. Thus, Paradox simplified the game overtime, unlike its other game which tend to bloat and start to become too unfocused. Thus this game is actually still good, especially with the Invictus mod that subtly fleshes out the systems that still exist to make them even more interesting, and improving some UI annoyances. I believe this game is objectively better than their newer releases of CK3 and Vic3 as those games still have the same issues that early Imperator had, but are getting new mechanics instead of making its mechanics better.
