For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

If you want real simulation of flying in battle, this game is it!
Update after offline play was re-enabled. Regional pricing still makes no sense, even if you buy keys from third parties (which I did). The official store has no regional pricing at all. The Odessa and Leningrad module is currently around 101 USD in Poland. That's for 8 planes and a couple of maps and it's just one expansion. This game has 57 DLCs, more than some Paradox games. Some modules have under 15 reviews (after years), so I have no idea how the pricing benefits the developers. The AI is as dumb as rocks. You can beat most planes in an I-16 even when they're set to "Ace." Some can't hit you even if you're flying in a straight line so they just dump all their ammo into the clouds. Collisions don't make sense either. Just touching a tree with the tip of a wing kills the entire crew of a bomber. The game has near-zero modding capability, which is the worst so far in the whole series. The graphics are good, it runs well, and the damage system is impressive but the game lacks so many things that I can't recommend it.
Been playing on and off since 2013, most active between 2016-2020ish, I have ~500 hours before I bought it on steam. Probably the best WW2 flight sim on the market in the way they approach it, every pack has a relatively complete set of aircraft to complement their respective time windows and theaters of war, i.e. 1942-43 Eastern front, 44-45 Western front, etc. Frequently goes on sale from ~$80 to $15 for the deluxe editions of packs.
spent 60 minutes flying, got shot down by someone i couldnt see, 10/10 would fly again
Good, though I miss the moddability of IL-2 1946
