I love it. It's so cute and comfortable in so many ways. Visually the character design and general visual theme is great and different while the music and sound really adds a fairy-like atmosphere. The puzzles get suprisingly intricate and difficult after the first section of the game, and some of them really had me in a bind. Very satisfying to figure out, and I enjoy how it was presented! The only real complaint I have is that I had to crank the brightness for some parts in the cave levels, but other than that I had a great time and heavily recommend it. :) Cute cows 10/10

Super cozy game, can definitely recommend!

Hyss mixes nordic folk-tale figures and music together to bring us a superb plattformer and well thought out logic puzzle on a solve as you go basis. Hyss transported me back in time to the stories I was told as a child about the trolls, gnomes and faries. The art style combined with the ambiance and very responsive controls makes this game a joy to play and It is truly a amazing experience and I do recommend to almost everyone who enjoys platformers and story driven/cinematic games. Why not play this together with your child? Also, bonus points for being able to invert the y-axis on the mouse! (Sunscale got the oldschoolers covered yo ;) )

For me Hyss is a game with a lovely thematic, charming visuals and beautiful music. As a player I get introduced to the game's mechanics in a good pace, and a little later once I have become familiar with how the game plays (punching a cow, etc! <3) I find myself in a good spot between finding the puzzle elements in the game tricky and challenging yet interesting. The puzzles got more elaborated as I progressed in the game, and I loved that some parts where really complex yet without feeling daunting to solve nor unfairly designed. Bravo! Playing two characters (both with a unique set of skills), and being able to switch between them, felt like a fresh and fun way of solving puzzles since it added another dimension of how the various puzzle elements should be solved. Overall I would recommend this game, especially at this price point, if you want to test your puzzle-solving skills while enjoying a warm and cozy theme in your game. I played it alone and enjoyed it immensly, but I can easily imagine that it would work wonders for playing together with another person (a friend, child, partner, etc) since the puzzle elements (at least later in the game) really benefits from discussing the puzzles with another person. Often I could find myself just looking at all the parts of the puzzle elements and trying to figure out how they go together, only to then think that I have figured it out and I try to apply my solution without success. After a few tries I might find the right way of solving the puzzle, and by then it felt so rewarding to solve it since the solution was not obvious from the start but after solving it I wondered how I could not have seen it from the very beginning.. :) Some of the best things about this game: + The music really sets the mood and adds to the theme of the game. + The graphics feels so light-hearted and enchanting. + The puzzles challenged me, especially later in the game, and after awhile felt like I learned "how to think with cows", so to speak. Some things I would like to add to the game: ¤ I wish I could ride the cow with the gnome character!

11/10 would punt cows again I haven't gotten very far in this game yet (the puzzles really are challenging) but I'm already liking this a lot! The game sounds amazing, the graphics look really great (especially for an indie title) and the puzzles are giving me just the right amount of challenge. The first few puzzles are quite easy but about 10 minutes in you really have to start thinking about things to get them right, and it feels great when you do because at each and every step of solving the puzzle you get rewarded with some kind of feedback from the game. Grusa, Vilde and the cows are all very charming and I'm definitely gonna keep playing to see where this goes. Definitely worth a buy!

Это веселая приключенческая игра-головоломка, в которой вам нужно объединить силы гнома Вильде (Vilde) и тролля Грюсы (Grusa), чтобы спасти всех похищенных коров из хитрых волшебных головоломок. Дабы помочь вам в ваших поисках, королева коров одолжила вам свою самую бесстрашную корову, миссис Каунайт (Cowknight или Корова Рыцарь). Название игры Hyss читается как "Хисс" и переводится как "Причуда". Попав в сказочный мир скандинавской мифологии, вы будете управлять поочередно двумя персонажами, у каждого из которых разные умения и, что немаловажно, габариты и силы. Именно на этом строится механика всех головоломок - игроку предстоит решать, куда и каким персонажем пойти на локации, чтобы решить ту или иную задачу. Маленький гном Вильде может пробираться в труднодоступные места, щели, проходы, а так же он может управлять миссис Каунайт, отдавая ей команды следовать за собой или стоять. Большая "тролльчиха" Грюса может носить гнома на своих плечах, пинать коров и ломать препятствия мощными руками, а так же запрыгивать в те места, которые недоступны Вильде. Все головоломки Hyss разбросаны по волшебному миру шведских лесов, замков, озёр, гор и подземелий. Благодаря движку Unreal Engine, игра выдает отличный визуальный ряд, оптимизацию, графические эффекты и физику предметов и объектов. Однако, стоит отметить, что разработчики слабо проработали анимации персонажей и зачастую они выглядят очень рублено, неестественно и топорно. Особенно очень бедно выглядит вечно колышущийся из стороны в сторону гном. Так же стоит отметить не самое отзывчивое управление - ваши персонажи то и дело будут не охотно реагировать на нажатия клавиш, немного застревать в тех или иных местах, а так же так и норовят свалиться в воду или с обрыва при любом неверном повороте или стрейфе. Но в целом всё это перестаешь замечать, когда начинаешь всё дальше и дальше погружаться по сюжету в новые локации и головоломки, которые от одной к другой выглядят все сложнее и все сказочнее. Игру снабдили отличным саундтреком со скандинавскими мотивами, который задаёт бодрый тон лесным локациям и мрачную атмосферу волшебным подземельям. Юмористическая подача истории расположит к игре с первых же минут, особенно если вы будете играть не в одиночку, а с ребенком или семьей - решать задачки вместе становится еще веселее. Полное прохождение Hyss может занять у вас более 3 часов. Так же на всех локациях разбросаны спрятанные сокровища (арбузы, лепестки и другие предметы), собрав которые вы получите приятный бонус.
