A formidable game ! Im a fan of Hyperdimension Neptunia since years and Rebirth 1 didn't disappoint ! I like all the characters and story and cant wait to play the rest ! I'm proud to have finished the game 100% and will do for all the others Please don't hesitate to play it and start the Neptunia series !

Would 100% recommend. It's a great game and very addictive, although it can be hard at times if you don't keep up with all the mechanics it's very enjoyable.

This game is, ultimately, not good. While the memes are funny and the anime women are cute or whatever, there is entirely too many gameplay problems to justify sitting through it. The difficulty is all over the place, and you'll easily find yourself going from brainlessly stomping enemies in one dungeon only to get completely obliterated by them in the next one, which is horrible balance. The only way to get over these spikes is to levelgrind because the combat system doesn't exactly leave much open for strategy, it's just spam power shots until you're level 25, then spam rush attacks to build up exe drive moves once you're over it. It's incredibly simple, and for how unbalanced it also is, it's really a chore to play. There is not a single moment where the difficulty feels fair, it will be too easy or too hard with no in between. That is a gamebreaking problem, and it's unfortunate. Another very troublesome thing is that your party is frequently changed and fragmented by story events so building up certain characters, especially the goddesses besides neptune is kind of annoying, and on top of that you somehow get far too many characters so inevitably some of them will fall behind, pray the plot doesn't force you to use those in a late game section, now wouldn't that be funny? The best way to "play" this game is honestly probably just to watch the cutscenes on youtube, they actually are kinda funny, but the gameplay itself is very very weak.
