Sonic + Hatsune Miku = Segami

lol i didnt know Neptune's meme line about Saturn was from this game until i reached that part of the game 😭 "SATAN" 🗣️🔥. Peak game btw, probably one of my favourite neptunia games, i enjoyed the story and the characters and humour was so good, cant believe i slept on this game for so long. Only thing is the combat is kinda unbalanced imo so SAVE OFTEN gahdamn i love being jumpscared by a boss that just randomly one shots me even better when im party wiped by some ridiculous AOE attack, gotta love it and since it's neptunia you will get reverted to when you last saved if all your party members die. So yeah i recommend saving before you accept a mission and/or when entering dungeons with missions or when theres a save point. But overall i recommend this game, it's so damn funny i swear the english voice actors had like no filter and just went wild with this one it's so peak. edit: IMPORTANT NOTE FOR THOSE WANTING TO 100%, the game actually doesnt actually tell you what baseballs that youve missed so if the baseballs achievement didnt pop up you might wanna double check each dungeon again and make sure you collected the missable ones in panique cave and toypolis. I literally spent hours looking for a baseball that was in gold axe ravine in mega drive's era 😭. Other things i can say is for the activate fever time 100 times achievement i did find i good strategy where i would activate fever time when theres one enemy left who is a one hit kill, that way in the next battle the gauge will be at 98% and you can repeat the process. Best place i found to do this was in gold axe ravine because the enemies are weak there and there are lots of them. anyway thanks for reading if you read all this lmao i just wanted to let out what was on my mind for no reason.
норм
Game seems utterly broken. It's running at multiple times speed, lacks 1440p support, doesn't remember any settings (like volume, or dialogue text speed) between launches. Vsync doesn't seem to work here even when forced driver-side. Framerate is extremely random and heavily based on what window size you run it in. (At windowed it was running @ 240fps. Borderless gave 180. Fullscreen gave 165. What? I don't even have a 165hz monitor plugged in.)
This spin-off is pure crossover chaos — Neptune meets SEGA Hard Girls in a time-traveling quest to save gaming history. You play mostly as IF (finally getting her spotlight), teaming up with anthropomorphized SEGA consoles like Dreamcast and Saturn. Yes, Neptune turns into a motorcycle. No, it’s never explained. Yes, it’s hilarious. Gameplay Turn-based combat with flexible class switching. It’s more streamlined than mainline Neptunia titles, but still grind-heavy. Missions can get repetitive, but the character banter keeps things lively. Writing & Humor Meta as ever. Tons of SEGA references, fourth-wall breaks, and absurd dialogue. If you’re a fan of old-school SEGA or Neptunia’s brand of nonsense, you’ll love it. If not, half the jokes will fly over your head. Visuals & Presentation Low-budget even by Neptunia standards. Environments are bland, animations are stiff, but the charm comes from the characters, not the graphics. Verdict It’s not deep, it’s not polished — but it’s fun. A love letter to SEGA and a treat for Neptunia fans who enjoy the franchise’s self-aware silliness. Neptune’s Rating: 7/10 "I turned into a motorcycle and saved SEGA history. What more do you want, pudding?"

A Hilarious, Fresh Spin-Off
Superdimension Neptune VS Sega Hard Girls is a delightful crossover that blends the absurd charm of the Neptunia series with the quirky appeal of Sega Hard Girls, delivering one of the funniest and most inventive spin-offs in the franchise. While it stumbles in a few areas, the game’s humor, engaging combat, and creative time-loop mechanics make it a standout experience for fans and newcomers alike. Time-Traveling Shenanigans and Sharp Writing The story follows IF and Segami as they hop through Sega’s console eras (Mega Drive, Saturn, Game Gear, and Dreamcast) to fix a timeline devoured by the sinister Time Eater. The premise is ripe for meta-jokes, and the game delivers—Neptune’s accidental vehicular manslaughter of Nepgear (and the ensuing do-over) is peak Neptunia comedy. The writing is consistently sharp, packed with fourth-wall breaks, and the voice acting—especially the over-the-top NPCs—adds to the chaotic fun. Segami steals the show as a brash yet endearing foil to Neptune’s nonsense, making her one of the series’ best additions. Tactical Combat and the Gauge System The battle system shakes up the traditional Neptunia formula with a clever gauge mechanic that rewards strategic pacing. Managing your action meter to balance offense and defense adds a layer of tactics, while Fever Mode turns fights into satisfying power trips. The class system and party customization (including clone units) keep progression fresh, and the condensed Lily Rank grind is a welcome change. That said, the Delphinus boss is a notorious spike in difficulty, and some arcs suffer from repetitive "talk-fetch-repeat" quests—especially the Game Gear segment, which feels underdeveloped. Dungeons, Exploration, and a Few Missed Opportunities Dungeon layouts shift between eras, offering light puzzle-solving with climbing, crawling, and rope-swinging. While the recycled environments can feel samey, the tweaks to traversal help keep exploration engaging. The lack of voiced lines during platforming is a curious omission, though, and the two-leader party limit feels restrictive. Still, the game’s pacing is brisk, and the 30-hour journey to 100% completion never overstays its welcome. Verdict: A Must-Play for Fans Superdimension Neptune VS Sega Hard Girls isn’t perfect—some quests are tedious, and the combat’s depth could’ve been pushed further—but its humor, creativity, and Segami’s standout character arc make it a gem. The rogue-lite time loops, snappy writing, and refined progression solidify it as one of the best Neptunia spin-offs. If you love the series’ brand of chaos or just want a lighthearted JRPG with heart, this is a ride worth taking. Final Score: 9/10 Pros: - Hilarious, self-aware writing and stellar voice acting - Segami is a fantastic addition to the cast - Gauge system adds tactical depth to battles - Time-loop mechanics keep progression fresh Cons: - Some quests feel like filler (looking at you, Game Gear arc) - Delphinus boss fight is a brutal difficulty spike - Platforming could’ve used more polish
