Road Redemption

Alright, the history here is I played Road Rash as a kid in the 90s with friends. I've had this game on my radar since it released, but I never pulled the trigger because I wanted to play with friends. Now, my son is old enough to appreciate this game and it's "split screen". I figured it would be a good game for him and me to bond over. This game AUTOMATICALLY splits the screens between multiple monitors. Like what?! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, if you have a multi monitor setup and want to play with friends, this is the game to get. Invite some friends over or let your kids have a sleepover and play on mom or dads multi monitor PC and boom, instant fun. Time to setup? Whatever your download and install time is Time to get multiple players setup? Hit A on your controllers Time to have fun? Depends on who figures out the controls first Hell yes, great job by the devs, I'm so sorry I never supported you sooner or at full price, but for $2.99 plus tax, it was basically a convenience fee. GET SOME!!!

Довели до ума игру всё таки - сделав её по типу рогалика. Только без процедурной генерации. Кампания лишь с одной жизнью - после проигрыша начинай сначала. Но как я понял, есть точки сохранения: 3 акт, 5 акт и так далее. Попробуй дойди хотя бы до 3 акта - ОХРЕНЕЕШЬ. Если проигрываешь, накопившуюся XP тратишь на постоянные улучшения и таким образом становишься всё эффективнее и сильнее при дальнейших прохождениях. И знаете что? Это действительно круто работает. Играть, ну очень кайфово. А когда можно становится стрелять из огнестрела - там вообще у меня чуть слёзы радости не пошли, хотя я и когда то в обзорах эту фишку уже видел. Игре не хватает лишь более причесанного меню, каких то заставок и саундтрека интереснее. Ну и графика конечно устарела уже шо пизец. А в остальном, крепкая и драйвовая гонка на мотоциклах.

Наследник великой Road Rash в виде андеграудной, визуально небрежной, но прекрасной в плане веселья и геймплея игры, а сочетание рогалика и гонок на выживание я вижу вообще впервые и оно работает. Играется это гораздо лучше, чем звучит и выглядит, а импакт от выноса противников не способен надоесть, кажется, никогда.

I was hoping to play this game with my brother since we loved playing Downhill Domination on the PS2 years ago. But it seems the devs are just as brain damaged as the ones who made Elden Ring. HOW difficult is it to implement co-op? Its not like multiplayer/co-op has been around since the damn '80's. No, instead they put a "remote play" alternative that requires the second player to be sitting right ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ next to you(I'm not doing Parsec). Again, HOW difficult would it have been to just.. never mind. The devs probably have finished this game already and I'm just ranting to nothingness.

Have enjoyed playing this game on the couch with my son more than any other game in my extensive library. Many hours on record (more than it says here). Can't recommend enough. Only wish you could do wheelies.

Fake game. Tries too hard to pretend it's fun. It's annoying. Fake physics. Thinks it's cool. It isn't. Good for a YouTube video watch but don't buy.

i could see this game at an arcade. it has a great arcade feel. fun and really enjoyable.

Childhood memories revived

Great rendition of the classic Sega Genesis Road Rash game. Really brings back the memories of staying up all night to smash peoples skulls in while riding down the road on a motorcycle.

Ich hatte beim Kauf die Hoffnung das sich Road Redemption wie das gute alte Road Rash spielt, oder eine Art Nachfolger ist. Dem ist leider nicht so, auch wenn das ein oder andere vom älteren Titel sicher bei der Entwicklung mit inspiriert hat. Der Online Multiplayer hat leider komplett enttäuscht, die Tatsache das ich gezwungen bin mit anderen Leuten zu fahren und nicht nur mit meinen Freunden war ein dickes Minus. Von den diversen Bugs die wir in dieser kurzen Erfahrung gesehen haben mal abgesehen. Einen Splitscreen Modus gibt es hingegen auch was sehr positiv in der heutigen Zeit ist, diesen haben wir nur nicht testen wollen weswegen ich dazu nicht mehr sagen kann. Die Kommentare in den Rezensionen lassen da aber einen positiven Eindruck zurück. Zum Einzelspiel (Kampagne) sollte man keine Tiefgründige bzw überhaupt eine Story erwarten. Das Fahr und Kampfsystem sind der positivste Teil, es fühlt sich schon sehr befriedigend an einen Kontrahenten vom Fahrzeug zu knüppeln. Die Level die sich mit jedem neuen Start wiederholen fühlen sich ein bisschen Repetitiv an was mir persönlich jetzt nicht viel ausgemacht hat, aber ein paar mehr Strecken wären schon schön gewesen. Für den Einzelspieler und ggf Splitscreen Modus würde ich sagen lohnt sich Road Redemption ganz gut als Zeitvertreib für zwischendurch. Ps: In den Rezensionen hieß es oft das man jedes mal ganz von vorne anfangen muss wenn man seine Runde verloren hat. Man kann aber in dem Skillbaum eine gewisse Levelauswahl bis ca zur hälfte hin freispielen.
