best game ever
Die Steuerung ist eine Katastrophe
Great game but the game lag so much after you set up 25+ drill .... super annoying... At least since the update the ore dont get stuck on top of conveyor. But the fact that you cannot set up a bunch of drill even after that update kinda break the game...
It's good wuality and takes a while to progress but not to long
bought the game a few years ago, played for 10 minutes and put it down, recently picked it back up since I got interested again and wondered if the devs fixed the game feel. They didn't. "Hydroneer is a finished product". Now, I will probably change the review to positive once I put more hours into the game and things start to get "automated", but for how everything is so poorly executed so far, I can't recommend this. I see the appeal and the vision of the "no inventory", and I respect that, but just because it's a design vision doesn't mean it can be an excuse for poor game polish. Tutorial hasn't been changed for (I think) 3 years, things are still a text wall, cart moving is clunky, and on the topic of clunkiness, the player character. Character needs more friction, I enter a hold that I dug but cannot get out and just keeps slipping, and this happens on normal terrain too, the "unstuck" button just sends me to the underworld and I have to walk all the way back to early game area. There's often no feedback from when something happens and you NEED to know, things like whether things are in the buckets or not (which the game claims can be used for storage purposes, but guess what, it breaks whenever the bucket is in a cart), when something needs to be rooted instead of just dropped to be used (spent 5 minutes in the TUTORIAL wondering why my anvil doesn't work, turns out I needed to place it, call me dumb I guess but the tutorial should've told me). All of the points above make me not want to play the game even though the gameplay itself is super fun, having 0 QoL, intentional cripples that may or may not be relieved through gameplay (making a "lock/unlock building" purchasable item instead of just changing the keybind to something more intuitive), and just general lack of polish.
