Not worth playing. Graphics are bad and UX is awful: painfully slow pan speed, tooltips that obscure upgrade buttons, unit selection that conflicts with tile selection, etc... It can't even exit correctly, I have to manually kill it after exit so the music stops.

Idiot developpers, place stupid text boxes on the screen with no way to close them and not way to contine past this point of the game with out closing them! The main problem here, seems to be that the game is inside a window, and there is no option to go to full screen, so you are stuck with where ever these text boxes open, even if that means that they open right over the top of the area of the screen that you need to interact with. In other words, it tells you to build a tower, but this is impossible because their stupid text box is blocking you from building the tower! Stupid garbage game! Why is it stupid garbage? Because on the very first map, simply because, none of the enemy got to the target, but I was still defeated! There is no point in playing garbage that you can not win!

Hydraulic Empire is a decent tower defense game with some genuinely fresh ideas — the controllable builder hero, hex-grid maze building, and mob interactions keep things engaging in ways most TD games don't. That said, the game has real rough edges: sound and music glitch out after extended play sessions, high scores don't save reliably, and the upgrade system feels painfully incremental with tiny stat boosts that barely register. Some later levels devolve into pure trial-and-error since there's often only one correct path layout, which kills the strategic freedom the game advertises. At a sale price it's worth a look for TD fans, but go in knowing you're getting an ambitious but unpolished early effort.

Die Idee war ganz gut, doch leider machts wenig Spaß zu spielen. Außerdem kackt bei mir auch der Sound ziemlich ab bzw. je mehr Türme und Gegner auf der Map erscheinen, desto mehr geht das Game in die Knie. Gute Programmiere sind meines Erachtens nach demzufolge leider Rar geworden heutzutage. Kann es daher leider nicht weiterempfehlen. Auch nicht wenn es im Sale für 90% steht. Aber muss jeder selber wissen was er mit seiner Kohle macht. ^^

Ugly zoomed in 3D with next to no texturing, aggressive color palettes, grating sound design, copycat mechanics where you create mazes of towers to force robots to go through and get mowed down. UI is non intuitive, upgrades have to be done out of game through a clunky separate screen, game lacks flavor, unique mechanics and inspiration. Feels like a tablet port. Had resolution options. Definitely a lower tier title for Tower Defense. Removing for declutter.
