Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Aug 26 → 0.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

什么你妈的臭毛病,一单机游戏非得加你妈的epic启动,跟谁学的,中国手游吗?
This should be considered a neutral review. There is a lot to love here, but also a fair share of frustrations that keep it from fully reaching its potential. The lore is genuinely interesting, and the tone of the narrative feels very much like something that could have been released in the 1980s, serious, atmospheric, and filled with a sense of mystery and survival. The story does a great job of expanding the Homeworld universe while still standing on its own, and the beautifully animated cutscenes help sell the scale and desperation of the expedition. The art direction, in particular, is excellent, giving the harsh desert environments a strong identity that feels distinct from the traditional space setting of the series. That said, the game struggles to mask some fairly glaring issues. Performance can become rough, especially later in the campaign when larger battles start unfolding, turning what should be exciting encounters into something of a chore, inconsistent optimization and noticeable slowdowns during heavier engagements. The gameplay itself is enjoyable, but it is not as refined as I would have liked. Compared to the main Homeworld games, some of the tactical depth feels streamlined, and the slower movement of many ground vehicles while clearly designed to emphasize the feeling of traversing a hostile desert can occasionally become aggravating. However, that same deliberate pacing does add a certain tension to combat, making positioning and terrain management feel genuinely important. The unit design and command structure lack unique abilities across many units, which places a heavier emphasis on strategy, formations, and battlefield positioning rather than flashy mechanics. In theory, this is a strength, but in practice the UI sometimes struggles to clearly communicate battlefield information, making it harder than it should be to read engagements or issue commands effectively in the middle of larger fights. The game does succeed in delivering a strong atmosphere, compelling world building, and moments of genuinely tense tactical combat. If you enjoy RTS games with a slower, more methodical pace and can tolerate some rough edges, there is plenty here to appreciate. Just do not go in expecting a perfectly polished experience.
Can't simply leave a game in my library anymore without having spyware shoved into it years later. I don't even know why this game needs to be always online now. The damn game is 8 years old, can't you just leave it the f- alone?
Always online epic games software essential in order to play the game ever since 2023, scummy utterly avoidable "addition" to the game, if you have to get it please wait for a massive sale, 75%+ sale, this sort of behavior is completely unacceptable imo.
2025年了还没有汉化,epic我操你妈逼!
I've had this game installed for years and today this piece of ♥♥♥♥ just decided to install epic online service on my pc with no prompt and without permission. Lmao, gtfo spyware garbage. Uninstalled and reported
Patch 1.4 in 2023 added an always-online version of EOS (Epic Online Services) to the game, which adds a further overlay to the game. While introducing other UI issues it soft locks the game menus if connection is lost. Not sure why this badly implemented additional DRM was added so long after release but it makes the Steam version more unstable in general and prohibits any offline play. Regardless of how good a game may have been don't support this aftermarket restriction that fails to add any benefit to legitimate users several years after purchase.
