This has potential to be a real gem, but it's got a ways to go before it's truly satisfying to play. I'm giving it a positive rating because I want it to succeed and grow, and I love the art style and ideas. It's even fun to run around and explore right now, and it's super charming. it's just really lacking combat depth/challenge and reasons to engage in enemies instead of run straight to the finish line and mostly avoid combat. Right now you can explore a large, beautiful world, fight enemies, collect weapons and powerups, talk to NPC's and build up a town. I think the town building is supposed to be the incentive to explore regions outside of the path straight to the end, but it's very vague right now. A lot of content is totally optional and there doesn't seem to be a lot of reason to engage with it yet, but I think it'll get fleshed out over time. There are things like merchants to buy potions from, but they feel so far out of the way as to be unhelpful. I think if they randomize the "finish line" location, add some depth and challenge to the combat (right now you can solve most any problem by circle-strafing enemies while shooting projectiles), and push the exploration aspect a bit more, it'll be a fantastic game. It does a lot of familiar things, but feels totally unique as a whole.
It took a couple hours before it clicked for me. But when it did i really enjoyed it. There is still alot to explore, going to play it more later for sure. I just wish the combat would have more impact, the bullets from guns seems so weak since there are so poor sound effects and bearly any hit feedback. If the combat was more satisfying, this game would have been something real spcecial to me.
Abandonware.
I wanted to like this game but I just can't. Gameplay lacks diversity, there's no map (I was just running in circles and can't find where I need to go). And some enemies are extremely frustrating getting constantly 0 damage unless you hit a small ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ point on their body.
unfortunately this game is so incredibly janky that its practically unplayable, I doubt that it will ever get fixed because it looks like the developer of the game is too inexperienced for a project of that scale, which is a shame as the concept of the game is pretty interesting.
This is a pretty great game, it works well for the most part, the items look cool. I just have two small issues with the game the first is the loading screen takes a while quite often and the second is your characters gets stuck on the scenery, they can get stuck on inch tall stair steps
This game needs quite a bit of work. I do really like it though. One thing that irks me is I would like a lock on. the weapons that are not long distance are really frustrating when you face the wrong way. I am going to give this a questionable yes recommend just because there is so much promise.
i like the game but as of right now i recommend waiting for the game to become more polished or a discount at least. But even then I still really enjoy the game would definitely recommend trying it out at least
Could be a fun game, but the implementation of 'rogue like' is really bad. Not enough carry over of gear/stats ect, progression feels horrible, such as it is. Some real game breaking bugs, especially if you like to rebind keys. Some of the rebinds just flat out won't work, and others will get you stuck with a big 'hit rebind key' message stuck on screen that forces a reload to clear. I would love this game if it was less buggy, and you could just save anywhere and advance a character. I will never for the life of me understand why game developers don't offer perma death as an option with benefits, instead of forced on the player. p.s. Boss fights that lock you into a small space, with bosses that spam charge attacks that do more than half your hitpoints = bad, especially in a perma death game. Oh well, another game that could have been.
