This game is great. It's easy to play and has relaxing sounds
A great game to relax to. Best on iOS.

It's a fun game to kill some time. I like the music and the little guy in the corner. Unfortunately, two achievements are almost impossible to get. The situations in which you can get them occur randomly so there's no telling how long it might take. These achievements might look nice on a stream or in a youtube video, but shouldn't be included in Steam in my opinion.
Very nice and juicy graphics paired with great sound. The ball bouncing gameplay made me chuckle whenever the balls went on a big spree! Nicely polished game.
Neat game, worth it on sale for sure.

Cool game. Very addictive.
I know I don't have a ton of playtime on Steam yet, but I'm leaving a review anyway because I've finished and re-finished this game multiple times on mobile and Switch. This is (subjectively!) the best shoot balls at things game I've ever played, the peak of simplicity and style. Everything from the spacey soundtrack to the way balls start to turn the game's signature shade of reddish purple as they speed up and burn out makes it just sort of delightful to play. That said, this was originally a *mobile* puzzle game lovingly handcrafted by an experienced indie developer and a couple of collaborators. As such, the game will typically be completed in a handful of hours at most. That's a shame, because like I said, this is the best shoot balls at things game I've ever played. I would love to have more new and exciting locations in which to shoot balls at things beyond what the game has already. Despite my desire for more levels, though, it's fairly priced. I'm glad to support the developer in anticipation of whatever he might release next! And I think if you have the right expectations for how long Holedown is going into it, you're more than likely to enjoy it.
A short and sweet take on a classic (breakout) mixed with billiards. The premise is simply. You drill into planets with a limited number of shots, colliding with blocks with numbers on them denoting how many times they must be hit before its destruction.
Pros
+ Charming art style + Addictive gameplay + Lovely music + The moments when you get a machine gun cascade
Cons
- Pressing the R key wipe your save without warning - Quite grindy as you require more balls to clear screens - Reflection angles are quite deceptive, sometime the balls bounce and reflect differently although you hit what seems to be the same spot
Irritations
+/- There is no quick restart facility when you know failure is unavoidable
Verdict
A fun and addictive little game where some skill is needed to land those perfect shots which lead to a cascade of machine gun fire. Even though the game is enjoyable, beware not to press R key as it completely wipes your save without warning. This, killed my enthusiasm for finishing the game as it was quite a grind to get there.
