Disappointing after the demo.
Although simple in design, it is a quite addictive game. Each match, even with the same civilization, is different because of the roguelite effect: you gain random cards each turn, and when you combine cards, you get to pick from tons of updates. Everything makes the matches unique and the game replayable and after each defeat, you want to rematch. Also, the game is real and historical; you can learn a lot about civilizations and their warriors. You guess why a unit has such an effect—sometimes it is logically based on the history of the unit, and sometimes you are left guessing. There are many things to update - better balance, opponent difficulty. But for its small price and for a single-dev game, it is ten out of ten.

Juego muy entretenido, es estratégico, fácil de aprender y tiene lindas referencias al Age of Empires. Totalmente recomendado.
I played a bunch of the demo and enjoyed it a lot. This game is the perfect blend of simple and tactical, which makes it easy to pick up and play for a few minutes or stay for hours. The full release is even better with the different nation bonuses.
fun autobattler. This concept could be expanded upon greatly. - Unlock All/Reset Profile buttons worked for me on launch - strong civ bonuses allow for variation in playstyle, for example huns giving siege bonus makes a triple siege start very strong, inca +1 melee bonus makes a triple melee start very strong. - There is no one strat fits all as per the previous point, game offers great variation encouraging adaptive decision making To the developers, thanks for making games, keep at it. I appreciate you. Hope you expand upon this concept.
I like the concept, but it's not quite there yet for me. Civilizations don't feel nearly unique enough. They basically just get one or two free standard upgrade cards. I can see that this took a lot of inspiration from AoE2, so I would love to see the developer attach unique units to the civs to differentiate play styles.
Loved the demo, and the full game did not disappoint! It reminded me of the best parts of other auto-battlers I've played but the historical theme and technologies make it just perfect. The quick pacing of each game is also nice because you never feel as if a run ending early is particularly devastating. The game as it is feels finished, but I hope there are some expansions or updates on the way!
this is a review of 1.0.0 this is a small game thgat can be "finished" in a few hours if you try realy hard. however its flow is very nice. from losing to 5 matches in a row to going into conquest (repetetive wins) 8 feels very fun. i do think starting from conquest 0 every time is... over kill i would like to be able to start from conquest 5 and 10 when unlocked. its impresive how this game proves how much game knowlege is king. the moemt you understand how to play each match it becomes way more fun. i do think some balance changes are in order namly. the gold archer is way strong and the heathguard is insane. but almost all the mounted archer upgardes feels underwhelming and when they lose to both melee mounts and archers i dont see much reason choseing them early unless forced. and i think monks are kinda useless as when you get the tech for them you already have an army most of the time and heathgaured is just simply better and "easyer" to get. there are more but those just poped in my head. any way i think this is a great game for a 2nd monitor in a long zoom metting or for when you are tired and just want a fun fast paced auto battler. the enemy ai sometimes feels way to strong and some times feels like a kid sniffing glue (i had a lot of matchs where it bought 3 swords man in a row placing them one after another this is a fine time to buy mounted archers btw). i guess that its an rng based AI and thats fun its parrt of the game its keeps you guessing. for the price it has and the hourts iv ealready paid its was more "worth" than a movie ticket.
Fun roguelike autobattler, you're constantly adapting to the enemies' strategy, while they are adapting to yours. Played a lot of the demo, and the new factions allow for more strategies, balanced by the enemy scaling (the higher your win streak, the harder the enemy becomes). Autobattlers aren't really my type of game, but I would definetely reccommend it to autobattler fans.
