Enjoyable and well put-together HOPA game in the Agent versus Bad Guys genre. The visuals are appealing and immersive, and the historical background was nicely presented (for those of us who enjoy these things). I'm especially a fan of the way this series lets you complete the game - collectibles and achievements - through the Extras menu after the fact. There are no Steam achievements, but it's fun to work toward the in-game achievements. Pros: - nice artwork, appropriate music, good voice acting - lots to do both in each scene and overall - the bonus chapter feels more coherent than usual (and the story is good) - the post-game access to puzzles and HO scenes is excellent - there is the usual Adventure Game Logic(TM), but I rarely had to stare at the map wondering "what now?" - fully interactive map and customizable difficulty settings Cons: - two or three abrupt transitions between major locations - I prefer fewer overall locations with more to do per location; however, the variety is nice Overall: While still not my favourite of the Eipix (for Big Fish) series, this game was interesting and well-worth adding to any HOPA library. It felt a little contrived at first, but I became more engaged as the game went on. The characters of the villains were better defined and even (slightly) nuanced, compared to earlier games in the series.
The next in the Hidden Expedition series, this one starts with you having to investigate why fellow agents have gone radio silent in Sri Lanka. Quickly, you discover that the group tasking with restoring an ancient palace have… less-than-clean motives. It appears to revolve around Magellan and the Fountain of Youth. Time to do your thing again. Plot is decent, HO scenes fun, and minigames challenging. Get in the bundle.
I've been playing Big Fish Games since more than 12 years ago. Fountain of Youth presents a brilliant mystery story with proper historic significance. The game is very interactive and has puzzle solving problems unlike the common match three. Recommended to anyone who wants to relive their childhood
Another excellent game from Eipix. The HOPs are varied and the puzzles challenging but doable. It must be great working with this team who seem to have a lot of fun - love the staring turtle while the game loads and wondered where the usual 'making of game' video was in the extras - its there as an extra video - short but very funny. Got all the achievements and 9 hours play.
old but gold series
