Heroes of Hammerwatch II is a well made classic dungeon crawler with some RPG element. There is many different class to choice from and you can make lots of different builds with each character and there is a simple base building system. Also its a solid co-op game with up to four people. Pros: - Retro graphic - Decent soundtrack - Replayability Cons: - Grinding
This game is called an action roguelike when the randomization is to a minimum, the most interesting mechanic of this game is it's skill tree and classes, but the issue i have is how slow and linear the progression is. The gear progression in the game is not that intuitive and its frankly a pet peeve to me how I would get a lvl 6 rare gear and use it until a lvl 7 common gear replaces it for higher stats and better damage in general. I like that weapons like the axe has a slow wide swing and a special attack different to a long sword with balanced swing speed and defense, but the variety of weapons does not make up for it's lack of depth in using them, at the end of the day you just use the one with the higher dps (at least for the first 8 hours). Runs also become stale as you level up that the game gives you the option to skip to the third zone immediately, its an intentional design that unfortunately comes in too late when my high level character needed to complete the 5-8 minute zone where loot is 5 gold and weapons are still lvl 3, with the most valuable thing to grab is the roguelike orb, the "choose 3 perks" that every roguelikes has. These perks also lack variety with each skill having at most 3-4 options to synergize with your character. Building a proper set of gear to your playstyle is just too time consuming and by the time the game finally got interesting with expanded skill tree and subclasses I was 8 hours in and was already tired of playing it. If you like roguelikes, this is not it. If you like rpgs this may be fun for casuals.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 17: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

There is a single map for the entire game. It will repeat itself every session, you also cannot win the game unless you die 6000 times and level up your guy. Its so repetitive and boring. I tried to like it...
It's good but way more grindy than I'd prefer. when I start a run, I normally enjoy it for the first 30 minutes and then the back 30 minutes is just me kiting a mob of the same type of enemies out of rooms x100 knowing that I am getting outscaled. Eventually I just accept that I will die against a boss or my max hp will get too low from constantly getting revived that I just die for good. The characters are also super basic for too long. They get more abilities and stuff later on but it does come quite late.
a lot of improvements since the game came out. looking forward to the new DLC. really appreciate the ability to leave a multiplayer game and come back to it on a later date with no issues.

[th]
2026_5 Humble Bundle

Vengeance Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance)

Crysis 3 Remastered

2 Heroes of Hammerwatch II

Nordhold

Rogue Waters

Cubic Odyssey

Mini Settlers

Word Game

Must be redeemed by December 2nd, 2026 by 10:00 AM Pacific Time. I absolutely loved the first Heroes of Hammerwatch (HOH). HOH2 is nothing like the first. This game was a complete disapointment for me. I was uterly bored and disgusted from the very first few minutes, all the way to an hours later. I kept playing it thinking that HOH2 couldn't possibly be as bad as I was experiencing. Alas, it was. I simply cannot bring myself to launch this game. I can not recommend this game but I can recommend its predessor.
Fun and incredibly replayable twin stick ARPG. First few hours was a tiny bit slow. As I unlocked the town buildings, the game soon exploded with many options for upgrading your character, items, and more. There's a huge amount of variety between items and character classes. Even if haven't leveled up your character too high, you can become pretty OP'ed with permament weapons and per run trinket perks. I think I got to the last boss in under 6 runs. Despite the level layouts changing, the main quest is kind of linear. Sure, you unlock short cuts to bypass levels but you end up passing so many upgrades it's often not worth skipping anything. NG+ keeps thinks moving. Your town stays the same when you start new characters. The town also allows you to share collected items between characters. Unique single use maps unlock one time play levels. There's a lot to do, and an endless ramping up of difficulty to keep you playing. I had more fun with this game than I expected. Especially for a Team17 published game. My only complaint is that I had to set the screen resolution from a 4:3 aspect ration to my native widescreen ratio. Not a huge problem, but I'm pretty biased against Team17. TBH Team17 was a major roadblock for me purchasing this game. Team 17 really sucks as a publisher. They offer zero support or input on final game polish for their devs. A while ago they published Neon Abyss, and the switch version had a black screen of death bug that would end your run pretty often. Ever since then, I have an inherit distrust of Team17 published games. More recently than Neon Abyss, I tried The Knight Witch for my PC. And the screen resolution options are wonky and janky. It really showcases how Team17 doesn't look out for their developers and help them reach a level of polish gamers expect out of their games. I couldn't stand playing Knight Witch because of its jank. Oh sure, there's Blasphemous 2, but that dev is good on their own. Really an outlier with HoH2 in the entirety of Team17's catalog. Basically Team17 runs on the money and clout they printed with the Worms franchise. But look at that franchise now; it's the epitome of sloppy jank design. So with that worms money, they've collected a pretty random assortment of indie games. And almost all of those games have so much weird jank, they're generally unplayable if you're used to ANY other major game publisher. Team17 clearly offers no advice or support to create games worthy of your time. They see bugs and bad design decisions and are like "whatever, we don't care, we just want sales. We don't know how what good game design is anymore. We couldn't help our devs even if we wanted to. But trust us, we don't want to, it's not worth our time. We want ride our bloated Worms clout so we don't have to ever work again." So except for Heroes of Hammerwatch 2 and Blasphemy 2, stay away from Team17 games.
If you like this game just go play the first one. I just fail to see where this is a improvement from the first game in the first couple of hours. Maybe it gets better but the 1st one was already stupid good at this point 1. maps are too big and empty. it's not fun having to walk all over the map to collect items and such 2. not enough mobs, no dopamine. every little mob seems like an elite (i literally can't tell clearly as in the 1st game what is and isn't an elite) 3. dash addition is bad 4. mobs projectiles are impossible to see a lot of the times
