Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

The game is really fun, had a blast with friends. But after 60+ hours, all my characters, progress and saves have been randomly deleted and looking through support posts, that's just it, nothing to be done about it, a bug that's been reported countless times since release. Literally just bought the DLC as well just for it to sting a little more.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 17: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Too barebones, feels and plays incomplete. First 10 hours are a grind of the first couple zones to be stronger than wet toilet paper.
Fantastic co-op action RPG. The game does a good job of encouraging you to play all of the classes by giving you account-wide buffs for each classes level. The gameplay loops are satisfying and it's definitely more of a slow burn that reminds me of the old Gauntlet games, but feeling yourself get incrementally stronger is satisfying. Things that would be cons for some people: - It's very light on the roguelite elements, basically just shuffling the map and enemies around but you're going through the same areas in the same order for every run of the main game. They've added a new mode to help mix it up a little, but even that only has 3 maps. - The game doesn't have in-depth character customization like talent trees, but each class has subclasses that grant you a new active and passive ability.
In their attempt to make the graphics more detailed, they've made the game itself nearly unplayable. In the first game, you can clearly tell an enemy attack or AOE from the environment, but majority of the attacks in 2 are barely distinguishable from the environment.

played the game quite a bit. enjoyed it alot. After a break from the game, when reinstalled to play the expansion, it deleted my friends save data. refunded the expansion until they fix that issue.
There is a starting death tax that takes 40% gold and resources for dying or abandoning run. There is a way to reduce it, however it’s buried in Chapel upgrades that are not available until late-early or mid-game. To avoid completely, need to do multiple hour full clear that is not possible at early game. It really sucks to watch a good portion of what you have collected get deleted, just as a way to slow down progression.
When HoHW2 came out, the reviews made me pause, but then I checked it out a short while ago and the reviews were much higher and I decided to give it a shot, and I am so happy I did. It is much more fun than I would've thought, and a great improvement to the first game. I really like the way the game works, the changes back and forth from doing a run and coming back to the town and spent your gathered ressources on new buildings or upgreades, and upgrading your heroes is just great fun, and feels both meaningfull and impactfull to your next runs. Every time you get to a new area or lvl in a dungeon, you can leave (quit, not abandon) and you can start up next time you wanna play the game and continue from where you entered the area or lvl. I was playing the first game for a while and really enjoyed it, it did get to a point where I thought it missed aomething that made me want to keep playing, Hammerwatch 2 for me really hits the spot, the fact that "you always get SOMETHING" with you after the run, makes it fun for me, losing everything like in the first game was too much grind for me, now I get to keep most of what I gathered, so nomatter what, I have a much greater sense of progress.
