Her Story

This game is not for everybody but it is a unique idea. It ends when you think you've figured everything out nut there is a point when the game tells you that you've gotten all the info. If I were to give it one word to describe it, that word would be "cerebral".

ある事件の取り調べを撮影した短いビデオがいくつもデータベースにアクセスし、キーワード検索でヒットしたビデオを見て真相に迫るゲーム。 例えると、「こんにちは」でデータベースを検索すると、動画の中で「こんにちは」という会話が含まれる短い動画がヒットする、といった感じ。ただ検索結果が多くても、閲覧可能な動画は最大6個までなので、あれこれキーワードを変えて検索していきます。 メモを片手に、動画の中の気になるキーワードや分かったことを書いていくと推理が捗り楽しいです。

Original approach to a detective game, worth it if its on sale. There isn't much interactivity but discovering the truth is interesting.

I like this game and this idea of going deep word management but man... u will reach a point where its imppoesible to reach some answers and have to roll the credits to have the last 20 clues which ruins the idea of the CREDITS and managing the vids to be in order......... HELL its feels more like a job than trying to find the truth and solving the story but AMAZING story and good idea, and it could be made better 6/10

Her Story encontra força na forma como transforma pesquisa em investigação. A mecânica de buscar palavras-chave nos vídeos do interrogatório é muito criativa e faz o jogador participar ativamente da descoberta, porque não basta só assistir: é preciso prestar atenção aos detalhes para refinar as buscas e abrir novos caminhos. A história vai se montando aos poucos na cabeça, como um quebra-cabeça, e essa sensação de juntar as peças por conta própria é o que torna a experiência tão envolvente. A narrativa fragmentada também é parte essencial disso. Se a história fosse contada de forma linear, dificilmente teria o mesmo impacto. Do jeito que foi construída, cada jogador acaba chegando às revelações por um caminho diferente, o que dá uma identidade muito própria para a investigação. Além disso, a própria história é interessante o suficiente para sustentar esse formato e fazer com que cada nova descoberta pareça relevante. A atuação ajuda muito a vender essa proposta. Os vídeos praticamente carregam o jogo inteiro, e a performance funciona bem o bastante para passar a sensação de que estamos realmente assistindo a um interrogatório. O jogo também é muito bem pensado na forma como recorta essas gravações e organiza a mecânica de busca, sempre com o cuidado de manter o jogador engajado e curioso para descobrir qual é o próximo passo. O ponto fraco é que boa parte do interesse está concentrada no mistério principal. Depois que ele é resolvido, o incentivo para continuar cai bastante, e o que sobra é mais curiosidade por detalhes do que vontade real de seguir investigando. Ainda assim, o jogo deixa uma impressão forte justamente por fazer algo muito simples de um jeito bastante criativo. [b]Nota: 8/10[/b]
