About

Enter the explosive conflict of the Vietnam War and fight your way through some of the fiercest clashes in modern history. Join the battle raging across an extreme landscape of vast mountain gorges and thick jungle, where the North Vietnamese Armies clash with the military strength of the US Armed Forces. Build tunnels, fly helicopters, drive patrol boats, use historically accurate weapons and work with your team to achieve victory.

Take the battle to the enemy across 6 large-scale maps inspired by real world locations. Play as either the North Vietnamese Army or US Armed Forces and choose from one of 17 specialised roles within a 50-strong team made up of multiple squads. Join or lead infantry, recon, armour, mortar squads and helicopter units, using communication and teamwork with your fellow players to identify objectives and ruthlessly exploit your opponent’s weaknesses. Emergent gameplay features bring intensity and realism to the conflict, as players tackle each battle with authentic weapons, orders and tactics. Follow the chain of command and work together as a team to meet your objectives and achieve victory.

In the heat and fury of the Vietnam War, the battle is more dynamic than ever. New US aerial units feature fully operational helicopters for fire support and supply drops. NVA forces can build extensive tunnel networks to gain the upper hand with surprise attacks. Both sides can hunt the enemy through Vietnam’s complex river network with heavily armed patrol boats built and launched to seek and destroy. Enhanced player movement, including swimming, climbing and fast crawling, and interactions such as dragging co-combatants away from active fire to give them a chance to heal and re-engage, all adds to the immersive battle experience.

Hell Let Loose: Vietnam features multiple distinct gameplay modes pitting players against each other in epic 50 vs 50 multiplayer battles. Warfare mode is a 50 vs 50 tug-of-war style confrontation where two teams fight for control over 5 sectors. Offensive breaks down the opposing forces into an attacking side and a defending side. Alternating new game modes mix up the gameplay parameters to maximise the battlefield experience. This is as immersive as warfare gets!

I have been playing the game since BETA, it is good, I did not have single issue whatsoever. It is insanely fun. I would like to be more weapon diversity, but according to roadmap it is gonna be good. 10/10 game for me.
a big change from the original game, a worthy successor that has a right to co-exist alongside the first game, a new dynamic tactical gameplay within the strategic frame that we know and love from the original. i absolutely LOVE IT. my top 3 most notable changes: 1) Map design - the bush/jungle with dense foliage obstructs vision and allows you to move freely across the ENTIRE map instead of forcing players to go through easily predictable chokepoints because the rest of the map is an open field like in the original. it really adds atmosphere too, to sneak through the jungle on high alert, never knowing when or where the next contact is going to happen. 2) the two factions, Americans and Vietnamese, have unique abilites and strenghts, and therefore playstyles. they FEEL fundamentally different to play. this adds more variation and it forces you to emphasize on said unique strengths, which creates a very engaging gameplay-loop as well as new possibilities for counterplay. 3) customizable loadouts. in the old game you had only 2-3 presets for your classes which was boring and frustrating. in the new game you unlock new equipment (and weight points to spend on said equipment) with every levelup, allowing you to bring exactly what you need to make YOUR playstyle work. f.E. you could choose between bringing a pistol as a sidearm, 2 extra mags for your main weapon, or 1 HE grenade, all of these things cost 2 weight points. or you could use the pistol as your main weapon and save some more weight points so you could bring even more grenades. 4) (bonus point) - new players are FORCED to complete the corresponding tutorials before they are able to play the more important classes, like tank crew, helicopter pilot, squad leader, commander, mortar crew,... a great solution to a serious problem. the devs keep kicking out regular performance optimizations too, every day i get more FPS. i have good faith in them, they're gonna keep working and polish the engine like they did with the first HLL. it was real hell on release, these days it just runs as smooth as butter..

The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

The game plays a lot better than it did on the playtest. I did have an issue with the game crashing with ‘exception_access_violation’. Easy fix for this is to run steam as administrator. Other than that the game is fun and chaotic, although I wish the pacing on this game gets toned down a bit. Running through the jungle 15 miles per hour in high vegetation is a bit much maybe adjust the speed down to the original hell let loose play style. I think this game will get better with time.
Its really good now and I'm confident it has the ability to rival its predecessor
good game but more arcade-y than original game. For me the maps are basically all identical - I know there's not really a different way of doing them whilst maintaining realism but still. Also i miss having the single shot rifles etc of WW2. Runs about the same in terms of performance as the original game.
Hate the first one, hate this one. Kidding. I'm a 9/10. Just absolutely addicted It's a great shooter, with a lot of beautiful little quirks. If you want super polished you probably wont like it. Communication is key, but that doesnt mean you have to use a mic. I have feedback for the devs that I hope is constructive, but no real complaints other than blueberry open mics from console. Their numbers are welcomed though. Def worth $40 bucks

The idea is good but it need more time. more guns, better optimization and the bugs need to be fixed. would recommend but the game is not perfect.
