Since I loved the first one, I bought this expecting it to be even better. Unfortunately, this one is pretty disappointing from the start. The graphics are better and that's about it. The gameplay feels like a tedious walking simulator. Even though I haven't finished it yet, I can already tell what's going to happen in the end because it's so predictable from the very beginning. What really killed my desire to keep playing is how you constantly move from one section to another where literally nothing happens. You just end up walking forever with your companion. They clearly overused this kind of filler to drag out the story and stretch the game's length. It's very, very annoying, and honestly, I'm not sure if I even want to finish it anymore. The developers really need to realise that dragging things out for no reason completely kills the mood. They should respect players' time by making every section meaningful instead of relying on unnecessary walking filler. If the game stops respecting your time, it's hard to stay invested.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

♫ Squeak dreams are made of cheese https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3744768031 In this game you play as Amicia and Hugo, a sister and brother trying to survive in a brutal plague ridden medieval world. Hugo is still connected to a mysterious supernatural curse known as the Macula, and Amicia is willing to do whatever it takes to protect him from it. Their journey takes them through wartorn villages, beautiful landscapes, many many swarms of rats and some genuinely horrifying moments, all while searching for answers, safety and maybe a little bit of hope. If you played the first game A Plague Tale: Innocence and enjoyed it, I am almost certain you will enjoy this one too. Requiem takes everything that worked in the first game and improves it in almost every way. The story feels bigger, the environments are more impressive and the gameplay is much smoother. If you havent played the first one yet, I highly recommend starting there. It may feel a little dated in some areas, but it is still very much worth experiencing before jumping into Requiem. Each combat encounter gives you room to choose how you want to approach it. You can go full stealth, use the environment and tools in a more opportunistic way, or just become an absolute barbarian and start slinging rocks at every helmetless head you can find. Personally, I enjoyed pushing enemies into piles of rats a little too much, which probably says something concerning about me, but here we are. What I really liked is that after each encounter you are rewarded with skill progression based on your playstyle. If you focus on sneaking, Amicia eventually becomes quieter and more effective at staying hidden. If you play aggressively, she becomes better at handling direct confrontation and recovering from hits. It gives the gameplay a nice sense of progression without forcing you into one specific style. The emotional connection between Amicia and Hugo is beautifully acted out. Their fear, hope, frustration, love and desperation carry the entire game. Combined with the beautiful visuals and atmosphere, it becomes one of those rare experiences that not many games these days give. The pacing of the story is slow, but I do not mean that as a negative. In fact, I think this is a game you should take your time with. Let the world breathe. Listen to the conversations. Walk through the quiet moments. This is one of those games where you can feel that the developers had a story they truly wanted to tell. It is not just a sequence of missions stitched together. Besides the strong characters and visuals, holy mother this game can also be incredibly brutal. The dialogue is mature, the fights are intense and the character deaths do not pull their punches. The way people scream as they are devoured by rats is genuinely disturbing. There are scenes in this game that are truly horrifying. And the ending... Agghhh. It left me teary eyed, with an empty void in my head, my god. Yet, after all that emotional damage, I still cannot wait to see where Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy takes this universe next. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3746853500 Highly highly recommended! I cannot rat this game highly enough. (dad joke sorry let me try that again). This one really gnaws at you long after it is over. (sorry another one). Not a squeak of hesitation, play it! (omg somebody stop me)
Before this game, the best story I had ever played was TLOU2, but this is better. After finishing it, I hugged my son, kissed my wife, and thought about my life for some hours. Gameplay and graphics are awesome.
It’s even worse than the previous game; I honestly suspect the positive reviews were faked. 1. There are tons of bugs; once one hits, you have to restart, effectively wasting the progress made in that section. Often, I’d find myself unable to interact with anything; after searching for ages and confirming it was likely a bug, I’d restart—only to find the interaction point immediately. It was a total waste of ten minutes of my life. 2. The weapon system is inferior to the last game's. In the previous title, a single press of a number key let you switch to the weapon you wanted. In this one, time slows down during weapon switching, and weapons and ammo are selected separately, making it impossible to pull off certain moves. You notice this in Chapter 3 if you try to save the herbalist: actions fail simply because of that slight passage of time, forcing you to resort to a cheesy workaround that leaves the herbalist crying by the doorway. Also, the "dissolvent" was removed, so players can no longer easily knock off the helmets of non-heavy enemies. While this is arguably a good thing—preventing players from feeling invincible and encouraging stealth—the story frequently demands that you kill people anyway. Isn't that counterproductive? It’s a completely unnecessary change that just nerfs the player. 3. The plot is illogical. The sister is inexplicably irritable and stubbornly believes in her brother's dreams while dismissing logic and the scientific findings left by predecessors. Yet, after stubbornly leaving the group with her brother, she immediately turns around and calls their mother and Lucas the smartest people she’s ever met. ...Huh? I’m left with a million questions: if you don't trust the smartest people around, do you trust in some innate superpower of your own? 4. What annoyed me most was the "second-person" escape sequence—yes, second-person—where you run while looking at the pursuers chasing the protagonist. Who taught you to design an escape sequence like that? I tolerated it the first time in Chapter 2, but in Chapter 4, there was a sequence that kept switching perspectives back and forth: one second you’re looking at the pursuers behind you, the next the camera snaps to show the path ahead. If your directional input is even a split-second too slow, you drop dead instantly. Why force "innovation" in such completely unnecessary places? 5. Finally, there’s the same old issue: a total lack of objective guidance. I’m fine with solving puzzles on my own, but expecting me to guess the correct path during the story is just too much. Chapter 5: I found myself wading through water choked with corpses, struggling to move and unsure where to climb ashore. I painstakingly searched for the white-painted planks at a snail's pace, only to spot a boat drifting lazily over from the opposite bank; getting to it required another arduous, exhausting trek. It’s the kind of tedious design that needlessly tests the player's patience. There are other minor issues, too—like the protagonist’s face looking uglier than in the previous game. It makes no sense; canonically, only six months have passed—hardly enough time for a drastic change in appearance. The rat swarms are far too dense, placing an unnecessary strain on the CPU. None of the ammo types come with descriptions explaining their effects on enemies; you have to test each one out in combat, observe the result, and then reload your save. And so on. If the previous game was a 5 out of 10, this one is only a 3.
The game really resonated to me, i have a older sister loves me very much. and i know she doesn't have long to live because of liver cancer ,i will miss her a lot when she's gone.
Loved the first game but this one just stinks. I made it to Chapter 7. Unfortunately many of the small but forgivable annoyances from the first game and still present here- getting killed by rats because you stepped one centimeter in the wrong direction being the big one. Others are the combat is ramped up (with most enemies now wearing headgear) but it just doesn't feel good at all. The progression in this game feels heavily forced and locked behind completing chapters. I started to notice pretty quickly that this game likes to lock you in the little "arenas" of which there will be rats, fire, guards or some level pulling thing. It's like one after another after another and it got really boring. Also, I hope you like a lot of forced walking sections....oh my GOD devs stop doing this. It's not immersive it's annoying! Then there's Amicia who acts completely different and is kinda unlikable the more I played. She makes some really questionable decisions and goes off on a rampage. And then there's too many enemies, clunky combat, rigidly linear areas that always seem to appear like you can explore except the game says "no don't do that". $15 wasted.
