About
Hell is Us is a 3rd-person action-adventure game that combines intense melee combat with the thrill of exploration. Explore a semi-open world to find answers to your questions and face mysterious creatures all along your journey.
As well as the civil war dividing the country, the region is suffering from a mysterious calamity, which has given rise to supernatural creatures that no modern weapon can defeat. Your drone and sword from a different age are your faithful allies as you cut a path through lands infested with terrifying chimeras and try to unravel the mystery of their appearance.
No map, no compass, no quest markers: following your instincts is part of the adventure. Enjoy a unique experience that uses innovative writing and level design to let you make your own decisions and follow your instincts as you explore. Your discoveries are yours alone.
Swords, spears and axes: a wide range of weapons forged specially for fighting these supernatural creatures is available. You will need to learn how to fight these monsters and use your drone wisely to stay alive.
''The central theme of Hell is Us is that human violence is a perpetual cycle fueled by human emotions and passions.'' – Jonathan Jacques-Belletête, Creative Director

While the combat is on the simpler side, once you master it, it works well. It isn't a souls game through and through, but it surely borrows some mechanics from these games. The graphics are very good, and the game runs really well. The setting and atmosphere is really well executed. You can feel the dread and the weight of the conflict you're thrust into. All in all, a good game, but if you aren't ready for some backtracking, especially if you plan on completing a lot of the side quests, this might not be a game for you. I found it a bit daunting at times, but I must admit I did this to myself. The game doesn't force you to check every nook and cranny, but I found the lore interesting and wanted to know more about the world. Some people complain about the puzzles being obtuse, but I'm not a deep thinker by any stretch and I still managed to solve them without having to google the solutions. You just have to take the time to find and analyze the clues. Would recommend, especially if its on sale.
Tem que gostar muito de puzzle. Combate daorinha mas monotono
spent long enough it to form a unbiased opinion and rating, went through all the side content, closed the loops etc. the good: atmosphere and wolrd building, the first hours are fun as you explore more and want to find out more about the world. the bad: combat feels "off" just does not connect properly, sometimes the melee hit boxes are just off and dont' register. some of the worst "boss" battles, actualy the worst i can imagine in recent history. got a terror boss fight that just invovled me running around like an idiot for 15 minutes locate an "echo" of the boss, absolutely horrible, the people behind that part should fed to these creatures. horrible lackluster ending, so wasted all this time, collecting all these history, clues, closing loops etc just to be met with, oh the big bad ball is gone, u won, nothing really explained, no further info, just compeltely RUSHED, destroyed any positive thoughts i had left. in the end just cannot recommend it.

An amazing game with fascinating lore, great exploration/puzzle mechanics, and a very unique vibe. The combat feels kinda souls-like, but it's quite weird and a bit repetitive, it functions more as an addition to the formula but not part of the main focus. Most of the time, it was better to kill enemies as fast as possible instead of trying to understand their move sets, mostly because of the crazy visual noise. That said, the game has great accessibility features for difficulty, so you can have the experience you wish, which is a much appreciated touch. All in all, the game is well worth it just for the exploration and puzzle solving. I think it's even worth it just to play it at super low difficulty to enjoy the rest it has to offer. I was a bit let down by the ending, though. With a better ending and combat system, this would have probably been a masterpiece. As it stands, I'd give it an 8/10.
Coole, atmosphärische Welt und spannende Geschichte. Hat Spaß gemacht. :-)
Fun
Just play it
