About
Hell is Us is a 3rd-person action-adventure game that combines intense melee combat with the thrill of exploration. Explore a semi-open world to find answers to your questions and face mysterious creatures all along your journey.
As well as the civil war dividing the country, the region is suffering from a mysterious calamity, which has given rise to supernatural creatures that no modern weapon can defeat. Your drone and sword from a different age are your faithful allies as you cut a path through lands infested with terrifying chimeras and try to unravel the mystery of their appearance.
No map, no compass, no quest markers: following your instincts is part of the adventure. Enjoy a unique experience that uses innovative writing and level design to let you make your own decisions and follow your instincts as you explore. Your discoveries are yours alone.
Swords, spears and axes: a wide range of weapons forged specially for fighting these supernatural creatures is available. You will need to learn how to fight these monsters and use your drone wisely to stay alive.
''The central theme of Hell is Us is that human violence is a perpetual cycle fueled by human emotions and passions.''

Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

If you like working for your story. If you like experiencing true horror, not jump-scares, facing the awful horror of war, rape, torture and death through the words and scenes of victims left behind. If you can handle not having a map, not having a waypoint, not having blatant and constant clues to puzzle solutions. Pick up a sword and walk into hell is us. Play this game.
I was very dubious about playing this with some of the reviews online, The no hand holding was a really concern, but I must say this game is fantastic. The environments are well done in the 4/5 areas I've got access to so far they are all very unique. Yes there isn't a lot of variety in the creatures, but this for me is more than made for up by rest of the game . Just wish there was a way to get a Deluxe upgrade on the base game without rebuying the whole game.
I just finished the first Act and I got to say the gameplay and story is amazing. I love how compelling the story is and it's attachment to the world with the humanity and physical manifestations of fantasy. Combining a dark horror and an adventurous game.
Nice stuff. It will make you feel clever. It will make you feel like you're good at 'soulslike'. But combat is not the focus in this one. It's more about the atmosphere, narrative puzzles and exploration.
Expected a combat-first Souls-like with big variations of enemies. Turned out it's puzzle-first with few enemies refurbished over and over again. Story and world are good, dark and interesting
I love the game for not having map's and the way the puzzles are just hard enough so you fell smart for solving them but not so hard that most of the time you have to look for the solution on the net. Hope for a second one.
The hardest part of this game isn't the combat, it's figuring out the puzzles and knowing where to go or what to do next. There are no quest markers, no map, nothing holding your hand. The only clues you get are from collectible descriptions that you actually have to read, NPC dialogues, or from paying close attention to your surroundings. It takes some real brain work, but solving a puzzle after piecing everything together yourself feels genuinely rewarding. The combat isn't brutally hard like other soulslikes, so you barely need to worry about getting stuck on it. The one downside though is that both the enemies and bosses lack variety, most of them feel like they come from the same mold, which makes the combat feel a bit less exciting than it could be. Act 3 feels noticeably shorter compared to the other acts, which makes the ending feel very rushed. However, the atmosphere is stunning, the graphics look great and the performance is smooth with no stuttering at all. Overall it's a solid time, and well worth playing if you're the type who enjoys digging into lore and unraveling hidden mysteries.
A very compelling world that has some very high points and some low ones. The worldbuilidng is wonderful and the characters and conflics feel very real. The entire civil war aspect is very well thought out and often gives the topic the weight it deserves. The puzzles are challenging, although repetative at times and I did have to keep notes about many of them on my own. As others have pointed out the ending is very rushed and I hope that the team keeps working on the story in possible future instalments. I also had no issues running the game at medium to high graphics.
