This is one of the best concepts for a game I've played in years but the game is loaded with bugs, which, after almost 7 hours has ended in a game-ending sequence of scripting errors. I would love to see how this all ends but I don't have the time or patience to start from scratch until I have some sort of guarantee the bugs have been fixed and the game can be won.
The concept's interesting and the story really seems like it's going somewhere good, but the game itself is buggy as F_U_C_K. Don't buy unless they bring out patches/bug fixes.

More interesting reviews on Fenol Baron Approves Curator Page
The concept of the game initially looked promising, but at the release the game ran into technical problems, making it very difficult to play and enjoy the gameplay. But now the developers have polished the technical part, there are no more bugs (at least I have not encountered them now), so now you can make a full impression of the game, and not of suffering due to technical malfunctions. The game is an extremely interesting mix of FMV adventure and a game manager, in which both of these components are very tightly connected and work on each other. We are in the brain of a guy who survived a terrible accident and only emerged from a coma, and now we have to establish his memory, restore damaged areas of memory, gradually recreating pictures from the past. The brain of our ward seems to be a huge office in which many employees work, but after the incident everything was destroyed and most of them died. Therefore, we, as the local director, will have to carefully understand the situation and fix the head, while also solving our problems and disagreements with our deputy. Thanks to its captivating gameplay, “Headspun” is just one of those games that at first seems pretty simple to you, and then you get so involved that you find yourself in the final credits. Management here is not the most difficult, but very balanced and exciting, you must correctly prioritize, allocating available resources for the most important goals, communicate with your subordinates, go around local neighborhoods, finding new problems. You get resources by solving various puzzles (simple but fun, I must say), but this process does not become monotonous, because the game takes 3-4 hours to complete. And do not forget that we can still observe the appearance from the eyes of our injured master, and there a whole story develops, people constantly come to him, gradually folding a scattered mosaic of memories. I liked the story, it is quite humane, it makes you think about many things, without leaving anyone indifferent. “Headspun” primarily builds on its concept, stringing all the other components on it. A small but very elegant game.
Would not recommend. I knew the game would have some bugs going into it but the story sounded interesting. Unfortunately the the bugs were too much. Very unpolished. 2/10
I received press code for this to stream but after the initial showcase stream, I finished it on my own time. There is a basis of good ideas in Headspun but it's unfortunately not backed up with varied or compelling game play and is ruined by a plethora of frustrating bugs. Right now, I can't recommend this unless it's on deep sale and I say that as a big fan of Wales Interactive and the various creative risks they take. The story of Headspun is ultimately a fairly simple one (with a very weak ending that implies you have choice in it but which is in fact pre-determined) but it provides a good framework and motivation for what you're doing. Unfortunately, that largely consists of walking around the environment, doing the same handful of simplistic mini-games over and over again and occasionally walking into the repaired rooms of your environment, some of which literally never seem to have a purpose beyond telling you to come back later, at least in my playthrough. You'll occasionally be treated to video interludes that will help to advance the story. These are reasonably well acted. Where this game falls apart is the bugs. No game should launch with this many problems and still have them months later, let alone one that's this simplistic. These include but aren't limited to: -Getting stuck in dialogue boxes you can't close and require a save and restart. -Achievements that don't unlock when you've completed all the requirements. -Getting repeatedly reminded about quests you've already completed. -The "Cortex completion percentage" going up by a small amount every time you save and exit, to the point where you can get higher than 100%. -Some of the R&D tasks sitting at 0% completion for hours, then suddenly completing at random. -UI elements bugging out or just not appearing at all (happened to me multiple times during the mini-games.) -Your stress level just randomly not advancing or decreasing, then suddenly maxing out for no reason. -Trying to start a dialogue with a crew member, then suddenly ending up in a room half a screen away. The game has been out several months now and all of these issues persisted in the playthrough I completed just before writing this. There's a kernel of cool ideas in Headspun and I do hope the developer is able to make another game and build upon what they have made here. This however, is only worth it under $5 at most in my opinion and only if you're willing to fight through simple mechanics and way too many bugs.
The concept of this game is amazing, but the the bugs make it unplayable. I have 8.9 hours in the game. I must have started the game 4 or 5 times over the course of a couple years. Every time, I tried to avoid the bugs. And I failed. I want to play this so badly. I'm considering watching a YouTube let's play of this instead of playing it. It looks like someone made it to the end of the game somehow.
I really want to love this game, but it is not easy at the moment. Plenty of bugs make it hard to play the game. The first fix has bin dropped a day after release and made the videos play, but there is a lot of things, still. If you want to give it a shot, use an controller - mouse does not work and you run into gamebreaking bugs if you do. I recoment the game to the extend of waiting for an later time and you will enjoy it for sure. The acters are great, the story is creative and the gameplay is fun. I like the art-style and the sounds and music fit the scenario. If it wouldn't be for the bugs - I would have had fun 4/10 Edit: My Review was written on 1st or 2nd of September 2019. I notice that the Comunity Manager did reply to this and to be fair - that is the job of the Comunity-Manager. Sadly for this Review, I am not going to change my mind over it, just cause to the latest updates, since the game holds almost zero value of being played again. That said, I allready played through the game 5 times and not being willing to give it another shot. I think that this game deserves good reviews as much as bad reviews, because it tells the truth. I am not telling anyone to not buy the game NOW (whenever that is) I just wanted to prevent them from buying an Beta-Phase game. Sadly it happens to often these days, that Games get published without being ready, thanks to scedules or money-problems. It is sad, but true that almost no game gets the high rank of 9/10 when freshly published. I do not know if this is caused by the industry or if it is presure by the consumers or elsewhat, but it happens with almost every release. Thanks to the conection to the web and harddrives in consoles, this trend even got bigger, giving someone an 60GB download for a game and an 12GB Update the day after release. Yes, Computers work with plenty of different Graphik-Cards and ROMs and Motherboards.. still, this also happens on Consoles where one is like the other. My review might be irrilevant by now, but it was the truth of the hour. I only wanted to clearyfy that. - and also, I just spoke from my heart and did no correction on the text. English is not my born language, so please excuse my typos.
yes, it has numerous of bugs and errors even for even the basic actions. I've noticed that if I was using K&M controls and then changed to controller or vice-versa some things would just stop working
