About
a minimalistic FPS movement shooter. An energy drink-sized time capsule of endless fighting. A micro-world of bots in a perpetual state of meaningless conversation with each other. Stay as long as you like - they've fought long before you, and they'll fight long after you're gone.

Master a simple and responsive player moveset, featuring sliding, jumping, and a double-jump that allows you to redirect your velocity. Kill enemies with your sword and gun and find unique interactions hidden in these mechanics.

You are a rare visitor in this world. Go deep into chasing high-scores and watch as enemies begin to target you, escalating the gameplay into chaos. Alternatively, sit back and observe the bots stuck in the endless cycle of violence.

Walk around the lobby and explore the world that houses none. Take it all in as the world hangs in a standstill, near entropy but never quite there...

made me frown. made me smile. made me shed a tear. worth $5 I enjoyed the ride :-)
Really cool little game! Art and presentation is crisp and well done. Music's great! Combat is frenetic and keeps you running with level design to let you do that. Paying attention to sounds and cues also reveal some of the depth it has mechanically. Gives you reasons to use all the tools at your disposal too. Game rewards exploration a lot which I really like! Theme and narrative is presented in pretty unique ways.
Why is it called hate.net if I like it???? Is this false advertising???????
"Gr8 arena shooter but servers are dead lmao. all just bots and hackers. but they fking suck so i win anyways lololol. cool game tbf. beat the secret boss ez and got the cool ass gloves or whatever. fun ♥♥♥♥." There's something special about an online space where you can feel comfortable with nothing to do, or where you can feel comfortable with nothing but a few others. So many games, online experiences in general, whatever, throw us into the action and keep it going, almost out of fear. There's a level of trust, trusting players to appreciate an environment, a movement system even with nowhere to go; and trusting them to form their own memories of it, to be drawn back by that and not just by a reward system. hate.net is rewarding. The gameplay is just plain fun, the art is damn cool, the atmosphere perfect. But it's each ending, what it has to say about the online spaces we remember, forget, abandon. I think that's it's most rewarding aspect.
hate is full
:p
really really good, also very fun and the soundtrack is very good.
A tiny little masterpiece. Hate.net is a small 1-3 hour experience (depending a bit on how much you explore it and how much you struggle on the gameplay.) It radiates passion and competency in ways you just don't see often.
Perfect shot glass of an indie game. Immediately fun gameplay that can be explored in endless and tested against a fairly tough boss. Writing I found more sentimental and traditionally indie game than I was expecting really sold me. I hope theres more to come from this dev.
Wonderful little arena shooter, highly recommend for anyone looking to get into the genre. Easy to pick up with some awesome and really satisfying little mechanics. Much love and thanks for this experience <3
