Harolds Harem: The Neckoning

I'd like to preface this review by stating I've been a consistent patron of WhiteVault's work and watched him create this game over the course of 30 days on his twitch streams. So I may be a little bias. That being said, (with the exception of a typo or two) the game is well written, funny, and an emotional roller-coaster. The art is adorable. Its just a charming, good time! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

So, this dude Harold right? He's the man, the man with the plan. He got them sweaters and is always looking better. My sisters be tripping, over all the Harold they missin'. This weird lady named SHHH got them all feeling crushed. He got a bird, and them coffee grounds got him so disturbed. Everyone's acting weird, while poor old Harold is just trying to get clear. Falling in love with Harold only gets more bearable with the time you must make for this man's sweet parable. He owns a VHS store with a mug in hand, and always like to see beyond the bland. Yuh.

I do not usually play games from this genre so I did the right thing and found a game from a relatively new indie dev/studio rather than playing a super well known game. So if you're like me and just looking to switch things up, maybe expand your library? Hold onto your little red slippers Dorthy, we’re going for a ride. The writing is genuinely good. The art is VERY good. I went into this game with an open mind and found something that hasn't happened to me before… I felt like I got more than I paid for. The character building is amazing! The jokes are hilarious! Multiple endings! Remember goosebumps? ♥♥♥♥ goosebumps this is better! The story is an emotional hedge maze full of twists and turns, ups and downs, loopty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ loops! All that I could ask for in a game! Did I mention all the THICC women? So much THOTTERY. 10/10 would switch teams and fall for Harold again

great, short little parody on dating sims, will definitely make you laugh. 2hrs long if you take your time, multiple endings, good stuff.

this game is incredibly powerful. you will knit a sweater out of love. its impossible to not fall for harold because harold must be protected and loved. 10/10 harold is an icon to gaming

It just a small and short game parody of those anime harem game. Really good for anyone who want some laugh and some good time

This game is pretty good, though it's more of a visual novel than a game. The humor in this game is everywhere from conversations to the combat. It's a silly romp from start to finish, that will keep you entertained throughout. The only thing I wished the game/novel had was the ability to allow you to click through the dialogue with your mouse. Also, a rewind or a back button would have been cool. All in all, this a nice little gem that'll make you smile and chuckle.
