Hand of Fate is a combination of action RPG and card based rogue-like. You create a deck of encounters from an available selection, along with a set of encounters determined by the dealer, that you then work your way through up until a boss fight. All the fights themselves are always action based arena fights. I cannot over hype how great the atmosphere and theme of this game is. That is its true strength. You sit across from a strange and mysterious dealer, in a dark candlelit room, playing what seems like an ancient game of life and death. Everything goes into making you feel that premise. The art on the cards is a simple, medieval design that makes the game feel old. When you get an encounter you are given text description of what is happening, including a little introduction like 'you were in a tavern enjoying an ale at the end of a long day when...'. It all feels like storytelling and playing game. The thing that immersed me the most was the narration. The only person you hear speak is the dealer you sit across from and his writing and acting is absolutely top notch. He has a ton of quips and comments, and they really get across his sinister but mystical personality. The gameplay itself is actually very simple and streamlined. You fight your way through 12 bosses or levels, each boss determining what sorts of random encounters the dealer adds to your deck and of course determining what you'll fight in the end. Many of the random encounters you can beat either with luck, preparation or skill, at which point they will be unlocked to later add to your deck. There is an organic learning curve, as the first time you see a card you won't know what your choices do, but as you encounter them again and again, you learn what choices you need to make when. You have three resources that you need to keep track off, being food, gold and health. You run out of health, you lose, gold allows you to acquire resources, and every card you encounter costs a food to traverse which will cost health if you have no food. Some of the cards and all the boss encounters are fights. In those fights you are dropped into some sort of arena with many enemies that you then battle with a simple hack and slash with counters style combat. Overall the combat itself is very mediocre, with an over reliance on counters. You will often be mid combo then click the counter button and your character will pseudo teleport and contort to block the attack half a room away. It all looks a bit odd. The important thing is, it does not detract from the main game and gives you a reason to want the items you find. While at the end of the day the gameplay is pretty fun and the combat is only just ok, the set dressing and pure atmosphere this game oozes make it well, well worth playing. Cannot recommend enough.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

WARNING! This Is for those who DO NOT LIKE RNG/Luck-Based games. Do not approach. It will frustrate you to no end. This is not a game to simply be beaten down, its a game of persistently trying your luck with the cards. If you don't mind that, absolutely get this game as it is an absolute blast to play. With that out of the way- I adore this game, but I also loathe my luck.. I have bad luck and the game is like "Yup, you sure do!" Hah! But I still keep coming back for another round or two. The dealer is amusing and always there to provide his snark at your unfortunate luck. He really is the personality of the game and its great honestly. It does get a little old hearing some of the lines over and over, but then you get a new snarky comment and I can't help but wanna smack talk him back.. but ya know.. game vs reality lol. The game progresses well with increasing difficulty. As you get stronger and unlock permanent passives, so too does the Dealer. The game has personality and that Is rare to say for a lot of games. The combat-side is simple, but effective. Timed attacks, dodge-roll, chain your hits, special skills you can have access too- well.. if you are lucky enough to draw those cards anyway. There are questline cards as well and you'll need to figure out how to succeed in the quest to unlock the next card for its story. There are several like this and its actually really fun to go through them. Little mini stories to read and advance through is nice. At its core it is a Fate Dealer telling stories and seeing where yours unravels at.
非常耐玩,我很喜欢,难度也还不错
Fun adventure roguelike that uses cards to determine encounters and luck games. With a brilliant main voice actor and loads of short mini story encounters. The combat is simple but never really got boring. although, if RNG is not your thing, this game might frustrate you with its progression based on beating encounters, lots of time using luck.
Great game with little flaws.

Hand of Fate is a mediocre card game with awful combat. I'm not a huge fan of the RPG systems that rely on RNG to either help/hinder you, but that's not really the issue with this game. The basic awfully repetitive combat is the problem— you melee attack, parry, or roll. That's about it. I've been playing on hard mode, which basically just increases the speed of everything, and even then, it's just green attack = parry, red attack = roll. There's no real variation in combat either, because melee weapons vary only by melee speed. Artifacts and weapon abilities are also an option, but due to the long windup, they're not worth using (on hard mode). You can easily get unlucky with a card, forcing you to fight almost a dozen enemies, which feels terrible because you basically have to whittle each one down (with no knowledge as to how low they are, because there's no way to tell until they're dead) by parrying alone. It's just not very fun. Throw in one of the bosses by chance, and you're spending even less time attacking, and just trying to get one parry in a pack of many enemies. The artifacts/weapon abilities are supposed to counteract groups, but again, on hard, you're going to get attacked and most likely knocked out of the animation before you finish using it. Then add a static camera angle that makes it difficult at times to see enemies/traps. Especially traps— it's difficulty to gauge distance to traps when you can't see it in relation to the rest of the space. If the substance of combat, the only real skill you can have in this game, was better, I could recommend it. However, it's just subpar.
This game consists of dungeon crawling by selecting from a layout of cards, where you gain good outcomes and bad outcomes primarily at random, or you get thrown into a clunky action combat phase which is extremely easy until you start getting randomly hit by unpredictable ranged attacks or the dodge button doesn't respond. Good concept, awful execution.
It's a fun little board game/Hack&Slash/Strategy/RPG game. Does a lot well like story telling, voice acting, art style, and hacking as well as slashing. I would pick it up if you want a chill experience with a ton of variety and replay value. There's lots of content and load outs to choose from. The greatest part is that you are able to choose the cards that go into the deck for your own adventure. You can stack the deck, but you have to hope that the cards that you chose line up the way you want them to. I will say that this has the slowest, jankiest, most inconsistent combat I have ever played. Also the final boss is just annoying. Interesting the first time you encounter them, but not a single time after. Gotta say after beating the game normally, the endless mode is actually pretty fun. Being able to go nutty with stacking effects is just what gaming is all about.
