Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Aug 23 → 0.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
Picked this game up on a whim and must say I was pleasantly surprised. The core gameplay is very fun and each run feels pretty unique with the large amount of build variety. The characters are also interesting and it has some pretty good writing. I really enjoyed my time with this game.
This game is like a pizza with no toppings; I'd still eat it if I have it, but I wouldn't recommend it to others when there are so many higher quality alternatives at a cheaper or similar price. At the current state anyways, it might be better with future updates.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 21: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

It feels like a more calm and relaxing Hades style game
I can't believe I haven't left a review for this game yet. If you are reading this, just buy the game. It is easily in my top 10. A play through is able to pull me from the deepest of depressions.
Update After 60+ Hours and 100% Completion The dreamworld absolutely delivers. The music? perfection. It loops forever without ever feeling repetitive, and it fits the atmosphere to a T. Combat flow stays smooth even when the enemies start feeling a bit samey. Hunting down new weapons and grinding them up is fun. Going for 100% adds a real challenge. The overworld, though? Peak cringe. Crafting feels pointless, and every NPC conversation is an insta-skip with zero guilt. The memories you find in the dreams could have been enough without the need for all the npc fluff. This game feels (to me) a mix of Ashen, Deaths Door and Hades. I love games that I can pick up and put down for short spurts and you can play a floor and save after each boss with this game. Afterburner Studios knows how to build an addictive game loop. They nailed that part so I’m absolutely keeping an eye on whatever they make next.
As the only white male in this game said: "I am a Historian and History is full of propaganda... I belong along the garbage... I am boring..." A joke or not? You be the judge. Don't forget words like "safe spaces". Why do I NEED THAT AT THE END OF THE LEVELS?! LOL! I AM AT THE FINAL BOSS BABY!!! F WHATEVER "safe spaces" ARE!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!! Anywho, first I have to point out that the MC is missing a chunk of her hair. At the side of her head. It looks really bad. I usually like playing as "my own gender" (that's the language you like, don't you Developers?) in games, but this one? I was wishing there were HELMETS to equip!!! Thankfully the game has a ZOOM THE F OUT option. So I don't have to see that missing chunk of her hair. That and the game's trading cards? She looks like a cute anime girl!!! I imagined it was *her* that I was playing as. Not as a "cool, sad rebel". So the thing is... I rather really like the Dreamworld. The combat. The skills/equips and holy! The free teleports anywhere!!! And? In there you just reminisce. Then on my last run... I was given a rather powerful "Finger Guns". The one that ricochets? I decimated everything. So proud. Okay but... There is also the "awake world". Where you Power Up stats/rooms and talk. Talk to the most boring people in existence. All they do is tell you about their problems and the MC is always "gloomy and broody". Zzz... I zoned out hardcore after they made the Historian give the speech of how he "loves history", but it's "all bad". Whatever. So what is one to do... When one enjoyed the combat/Dreamworld aspects of the game... But... Wait, was there other stuff? Nah. It was just that. Just enjoyable stuff. Everything else is unnecessary. Well then. I enjoyed myself thoroughly! Good job on the Action/Upgrades and all the good stuff I mentioned above. I said good. Yeah.
This is one of my favourite games, and one that I keep going back to. It's about grief and loss and dealing with it, and in between your forays into your subconscious you meet friends that can help you through your waking depression. You find the dodge you like, then you find the shield you like, and then you get to play with which elements you prefer. I'm a lightning/water, myself. It's fun to extinguish-crit. You'll likely end up with a weapon you favour, too. You can pump the difficulty after you get to a certain point and it's satisfying to use the Power of Friendship (tm) to overcome your pain. It's a good roguelike. Give it a try.
From the very start, the game felt confusing. The walking tutorial is AFTER you already walked for at least a minute, it bombards you with controls, moves, actions... yet I think, dosent explain the "mana" part or that there is a dodge button. If Im wrong, it just showcases how overloaded you are with everything, before you even get to expereince anything. The movement feels slow, actions dont have the punch to it that you wish, story is overlayed in a completely missable way, immideatly repeating dungeons, random shop, 0,1 second reaction time for combos... I legit dont know... it looks visually REALLY nice and I though of putting up with the game just for that, but after failing at the first boss (scripted I think), you are immideatly thrown out and thus continues with the confusion. Maybe Im not getting something, but the game feels very much unfinished.
This is an amazing game and I had a lot of fun playing it, even though I haven't really completed it for the real ending yet. And it saddens me that so many people dislike it for the most insignificant things while I see a lot of praise for game that lack.. well.. the game. The gameplay is great, the combat is fine, albeit may feel unfair-ish sometimes when enemies hit you with telegraphed attacks from outside the screen or when you are hit by something you should not have been hit with. If you are able to learn (and you really effing should if you're going to play a roguelite), this stops to be a problem or even a nuisance after several hours (or several hours in each act since the last one reset the timer and required several hour more). Overall I would say it's fair and balanced and of you know what you do and what you build, you're either fine or you're done for (since some {or even many} people compared it to Hades somehow - I went up to heat 16 there, and I don't like to push myself to much in games, so I stopped when it started to become frustratng or stopped feeling fun) and there are definitely times when you just know the build is not building, whining about it is what I see here in the reviews to Dreamscaper. The dream/real word is an interesting explanation/justification of what you do in you runs vs what you do in-between. The story might feel dull at first but then I did the runs mainly for it. People sleeping on the dialogues are probably the ones who don't read much in games in general - I've read all the journals in Sacred 2 and Divine Divinity back when I was 10 and there was a lot of stuff the had nothing to do with the story, or sidequests, or anything at all. Skipping the story in a game that has a story and complaining about it is a choice.
Late to the review party but felt I need to do one. I started this game in early access and followed the developmental journey and now that patch 1.1 has come out I am going to start a fresh run, but we will get to the meat of the review. This is probably one of my favourite games ive ever played, the soundtrack is perfect, the ambience and vibe of the game is everything I have yearned for in life. I was playing this game at a very rough point in my life and I felt an extreme connection to the themes of it. The gameplay is great (finger gun my beloved) and the boss fights are very good, everything just feels smooth (I also love the minesweeper puzzle its just so good). The developers have done an amazing job at putting a unique theme to roguelikes (at least I havent seen any other roguelikes using emotions as the main theme). I constantly am looking at if they have released a new game, because I know it would be a banger. Please do yourself a favour and just buy the game and jump straight into it, you will not regret it <3 Thank you devs you are great.
