Super House of Dead Ninjas

There are always a few select games that stay etched in your memory forever for their remarkable storytelling, unforgettable soundtrack, and overall brilliance making a long-lasting impression. Only a handful of such gems exist in the gaming market that we can safely categorize into “One Must play before they die” and Trust me — this is NOT one of them.

addicting ninja gaiden roguelike essentially. enemies arent EXACTLY as unfair but the movement feels like it. really fast paced with no slowdowns from the limitations of old hardware.

This game came before its time. It feels absolutely amazing in your hands on controller. Reminiscent of an old vania style game that you would play at the arcade but with quality of life and gameplay improvements that make it very enjoyable for the modern age. Quick loading times between retry screens. The combat plays smooth. Unleash endless combos and glide through the enemy sprites like butter. All while some deep voiced narrator cheers you along with snarky one liners. There is wee bit of Adult Swim Flare to be enjoyed. Great game to run on the couch while you pass around the controller. Very replayable with steam work shop and map editor. If you like quick little arcade games that are actually fun and action packed then add this to your library.

So good. I wish I didn't suck at it. I would put this on the same tier as Spelunky. If that triggers your synapses, play it.

Классная аркадная игра. Удивительно то, что я смотрел как другие люди в неё играли и рискнул купить, чтобы самому поиграть. С одной стороны здесь явно есть где позадротить: разные уровни сложности, челленджи в достижениях. С другой это всё аркада с крутым музоном, так что получить дозу эндорфина всегда можно. Эх... даёт же эта игра вспомнить начало развития рогаликов как жанра.

A great Rougelike if you have not played it, good to see its back in the store

A really fun roguelike, I can't believe I slept on this for over a decade. If there's one downside, it's that the game is zoomed out a bit too much for a laptop screen; it might be better if you have a larger monitor.

Fun, fast, casual, and very entertaining. Simple yet well made. Great for between rounds of larger games.
