My 5 year old son loved this game! He had a lot of fun with the puzzles, while I was just the narrator and “helper” (in quotes, because many of the challenges he was able to think of and solve before me). It was interesting to see him progress through the game's challenges, which are in line with his current age (he's 5). The graphics are super cute and the music is relaxing, good for solving puzzles. Now he wants to get all the trophies. =D I highly recommend it for anyone who has young children, and we need more games like this.
This game starts with a lot of dialogue. So much dialogue that I was already annoyed of it. I miss the old days, where the NPCs didn't want to explain every single step ahead of me. I mean, we started Super Mario only with a NEW GAME and GO. Noone got to us and said: WHOA! THERE IS A LOT OF ADVENTURE AHEAD! AT LEAST 15 LEVELS! AND MORE ADVENTURE! And when you though it was over, the NPC comes with the nail in the coffin that always hit my nerves: "AH!!! ONE MORE THING! I ALMOST FORGOT!" Please. Stop talking. And devs. please, put a skip button. I know you love your creation so much, but not all of us are willing to appreciate it the same way you do. After that. I got so annoyed, I played a couple of levels, but I wasn't willing to engage with the game anymore. Sad. 3/10.
This game starts off deceptively easy, then somewhere in world 3 becomes one of the more challenging puzzle games I've played. I really enjoyed it. In particular, I loved the cute environmental animations in the later levels. The diorama levels gave me a bit of a Captain Toad vibe. The X-Ray Specs should really be on by default when building though, there's no way to see what the heck you're doing otherwise.
I was a firm believer that a perfect game was an impossible achievement. Until I played Hamster On Rails. This is not hyperbole, this is legitimately my favorite puzzle game ever made. Just play it.
I can't stop smiling while playing this enchanting puzzle game – it's a heartwarming experience!
Cute, challenging, very fun.
What a wonderful game ! Don't be fooled by the cute little creatures, this game gets very tough ! It is extremely addictive and I could not let go. Beautiful graphics and great challenges. I've also read that this game is also involved in raising funds for Children's Cancer Hospitals, which makes it impossible not to buy. I hope you enjoy as much as I am enjoying.
I never thought I would enjoy so much this puzzle game! the puzzles are complex and challenging, yet doable by anyone who wishes to have a great brain workout! The music is pleasant and induces concentration and happy feelings. I'm loving it! The color pallete is beautiful and the characters are funny! Its a great game to play with my family!
Too many of basically the same level over and over again, introducing nothing new. That would be less bad if the interface had a clear way to remove a misplaced piece other than starting the level again (when you can't just build over it). That would be less bad if the dialogue didn't have a painfully sluggish animation between speakers that you can't skip, that's just UI-juice but at about a quarter of the speed it should be, maybe even slower. That would be less bad if there wasn't a significant load time between levels even though the levels are using all the same graphics and are basically a 12x12 or so grid, so should require no load time at all. And the load time also features slow animations into and out of the loading screen. That would be less bad if it wasn't running my GPU at full tilt and still responding sluggishly, despite having very simplistic graphics. But unfortunately all of those things are the case, so I took one look at level 8 and went "*another* level the same as the previous 5? I'm out."
