Tony Shoulders does it again. I’ve played both Ethel and Claire, and I loved them—so when I saw he was releasing another game, I already knew I had to jump in as soon as possible. And I’m glad I did. The Butler absolutely delivers. From the start, the atmosphere is thick and heavy in the best way. The sound design really pulls you in, creating that constant sense of unease that makes you feel like something is always just about to happen. The story was another standout for me. Not only is it engaging on its own, but the way it ties back into Claire really helps round out the overall narrative. If you’ve played his previous games, that connection makes everything hit even harder. The antique shop is such a great opening environment too. I mean… where else are you going to find shelves full of old, creepy artifacts that probably all have something attached to them? It sets the tone perfectly. And when the game transitions into the mansion, it feels smooth and natural—it never breaks immersion. Gameplay-wise, everything felt solid. The mechanics work well, nothing feels clunky, and the experience flows the way you want it to. The jumpscares are also done right—well-timed, effective, and never overused. Overall, this is just another great entry from Tony Shoulders. It’s atmospheric, well-designed, and ties beautifully into his previous work. If you’ve played Ethel or Claire, this is an easy recommendation—and if you haven’t, this might be a great place to start. Another homerun. 👀

I really really wanted to like this game. But it was so slow paced and the controls were very janky. I kept getting stuck behind things. There wasn't alot of direction of what I had to do. I spent about 30 mins just wandering around clicking everything to find a trigger so I could progress I'm the game. Nothing was working. The game became very slow paced and difficult as I couldn't work out how to get the hammer from under the floor boards. A real shame..

I really enjoyed playing this game! The atmosphere was horrifying and the gameplay was awesome! I was on the edge of my seat a few times and yes I screamed on multiple occasions haha! This was by far the best game out of the series. 10/10 would recommend!

From a massive lover of Claire and Etherl, Butler jumps you right back into the series, with links from both games prior to The Butler. This Experience was amazing, jumpscares are well placed, the atmosphere is intense and going through the basement was... something else, edge of my seat and i was too scared to move most of the time. Props to the dev for real, he knows how to create tension, keep you on edge and bring you right into the experience. Also thank you so much for popping into my stream and hanging out, it meant a lot to me and my viewers, ill be keeping a close eye on your profile in the future you can bet on that... 10/10

A very well done game! Story imersion is top notch, the ambient sounds and music are on point. The scares are timed spectacularly! Definately what I look for in a good horror game. This dev know's what he's doing and I look forward in the next one. Just to make it clear this game has little to no hand holding and is meant to be that way so be ready to have your thinking cap on. ;) Support your smaller devs with masterpieces like this one!

The series so far has been a story of growth from Ethel to Claire and now The Butler. Overall, the game is good and the story fills in some gaps and adds new details. There are points in the game where the story feels rushed and the plot feels forced. The only real "challenge" is a very short and easy game of hide or run that takes minimal effort to complete. Graphics are well done, voice acting is adequate, and the sound is amazing. I would say it's a solid 7/10.

Spoopy: 10/10 Overall: 9/10 Good: * Story is Excellent. * Atmosphere was really good. * Spooks were excellent. * Voice Acting. * Having a Global Sound Setting and Control Settings. Some Indie Games don't have these - However, it all reset on game open and entering the menu. * Over arching story across 3 games worked really well. Had surprising twists which was really nice. Bad: * Video, Controls and Global Volume setting didn't save. Reset on game load and going into the menu when in game. * The Objective on screen did not match what you had to do. You were soft locked out of it till you Read a note first. * Only 1 ending. The other two previous games had multiple endings. Very good game. Still slightly expensive. Buy on Sale.

I love this game. 9/10 I gottta play your other games.
