Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 19: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
very fun game
Played through the whole thing solo on Legendary to get myself ready for the next Halo. That's a lot of hours with a controller in my hands, and most of them were good ones. The campaigns still hold up. Legendary solo is still Legendary solo. No complaints about the games themselves. My problem is with what this collection is supposed to be. It's called the Master Chief Collection, and the pitch has always been "every Halo in one place." Except it isn't. Halo 5 isn't here. Infinite isn't here. Halo Wars isn't here. I get that there are technical and licensing reasons, but I'd have paid for DLC to fold them in without thinking twice. Having to bounce between three storefronts and two launchers to play a series that ships as a single package is exactly the problem this collection was made to solve. Then there's the unlocks. There used to be cosmetics you earned by finishing every campaign on Legendary — a genuine badge, the kind of thing you'd only have if you'd actually put in the work. They patched that. Now you can just buy them. I found this out after the fact, which somehow made it worse. If the reward for the hardest thing in the game is also sitting in a storefront, the achievement stops meaning anything. It doesn't break the game, but it takes the air out of a playthrough I specifically undertook to earn something. So: the games are great, the collection is fine, and the stewardship is disappointing. Buy it on sale, play the campaigns, don't expect the definitive Halo package the name promises.
I'd love to recommend this, but the co-op netcode is truly atrocious and I cannot fathom why it functions the way it does. In most games, at least these days, when you connect to a server, you control your character on your pc, and it sends updates to the server for other players to see. In MCC, you control the server entity *directly* - meaning you have to wait for the server update for your inputs to work. I have 300ms ping to my friend in the US - in many games, this is slightly rough but bearable. In this game, I press a movement key and have to *wait 300ms for my character to start moving*. I start shooting and *have to wait 300ms for the gun to fire*. Playing a game like that is absolutely impossible, and I'm baffled it works like this:( I was really looking forward to playing this game with my friend, but this made that completely impossible. How on earth this is still an issue after 7 years (or more counting Xbox release) is beyond me.
requires a microsoft account even for single player
If you grew up playing Halo, this collection is a perfect throwback that feels just right. If you didn't, it's still one of the best ways to experience one of gaming's most influential first-person shooter series. Six games, lots of exciting missions you'll remember, amazing music, and multiplayer that still works really well today. The option to switch between original and enhanced graphics in Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2 isn't just a fun feature—it's an interesting way to see how much game development has advanced over time. The campaigns are still the best part, with great scenes to remember, good co-op play, and a game that still feels fun to play even after many years. That said, the collection isn't perfect. The PC release had some problems at first, but things are much better now. However, you might still come across some glitches, issues with matching players, or a UI that doesn't work consistently. Some games had more improvements than others, which made the whole experience feel a bit inconsistent. It's still tough to complain when you're getting six legendary games all in one package. No matter if you're here for the campaigns, Forge, Firefight, or multiplayer, there's way too much content for the price. Pros: Six amazing Halo games all in one collection. * Timeless campaigns with co-op support Great value for the amount of content. * Classic/remastered graphics toggle is brilliant * Active enough multiplayer to enjoy Cons: * Occasional bugs and matchmaking issues * UI can be clunky Some titles are easier to keep in good condition than others. Even though it has some issues, Halo: The Master Chief Collection is a tribute to one of the biggest and best gaming series ever. It's not perfect, but if you like playing first-person shooter games, it's definitely worth having. Recommended.
Just moved away from playstation forever and this is easily the best way to replay all of the halo games that are actually good!
