我是没想到这b游戏发售都这么久了,keyes舰长那关还会100%稳定闪退 我一开始以为是我的问题,折腾半天真的是 真的不如把halo交给动视做,343已经没有人类了
As an OG fanatic/player of Halo: Combat Evolved, I give Campaign Evolved a seal of approval, with a few caveats that will hopefully be ironed out in future patches. Halo: CE was one of my first ever console games and I became a ravenous fan from the beginning as a young teenager. So naturally my hopes for this remake were high but expectations, based on the recent performance of the studio from which it comes, were low. Luckily, this turned out to be quite the fun ride.
Positives
This game is gorgeous; simply beautiful. Much has been made of the fact that this runs on Unreal Engine 5. While I am among the nay-sayers of this change, I cannot deny the immense visual uplift of this game contrasted with Halo: Infinite. The vibrant purple hues of the Truth and Reconciliation contrast stunningly with the awesome-looking particle effects. The weather effects are also incredibly immersive. The lighting of this game is also top notch. The Pillar of Autumn is suitably menacing in the beginning, and the later beach levels are beautiful to look at as you’re slaughtering the covenant hordes. The gothic lighting and colors of 343 Guilty Spark make that mission the scariest it has ever been. The Maw and specifically the final Warthog Run look simply phenomenal. Level design is improved in many areas, imho. There really is only one mission that is overhauled, and the rest see some minor but good changes. The Library is actually fun now, less of a slog and with more forward narrative motion. Picking up collectibles is also fun. The creature design and voice acting is still great. Hearing Jen Taylor return as Cortana to re-voice her original lines is like a balm I never knew I needed. She is phenomenal, even if I disagree with some of the re-contextualization of some of her dialogue. The gunplay is fantastic and suitably crunchy. The Pistol and Shotgun are once again my favorites and I love the inclusion of other weapons like the Needle Rifle and Fuel Rod, adding additional layers of strategy to the already great gunplay. Also, the Hunters in this game are great fun, wildly aggressive and actually a threat (one shot to the back won’t hurt them as easily this time around).
Negatives
Unfortunately, Unreal Engine has plenty of problems that the team at Halo Studios have not been able to resolve. On my first playthrough my game crashed at least 5-8 times, maybe more. Stuttering, hangups, and frame drops were all-too-common as well. I don’t have the most powerful PC in the world, but it is certainly enough to not have these problems. Enemy AI was quite dumb at times. The Flood forms are, at times, super docile, which is quite disappointing since they are supposed to be fearsome but are instead slow walking zombies that occasionally lunge at you this time around. Super-odd utilization of the Flood. The music still hits when it needs to, but some of the new compositions don’t, to say the least. It sounds incredibly cheap, which might have been the point, but it actively detracts from the experience at times. The game is unnecessarily taxing on even modern systems (another problem with UE5 I think), and even on a relatively beefy rig your frames might drop in certain intense indoor (and outdoor) battle sequences where the enemies are numerous and particle effects overwhelm your GPU. Speaking of visuals, it is unforgivable that film grain and those weird blurry-looking post-processing effects are unable to be turned off in game. The cutscenes, while nice looking, are distracting with their sudden switches to 30fps and visuals that clearly aren’t in-engine. Like the Halo 2 Anniversary Edition, the cutscenes are beautifully rendered, but need to be less jarring going from gameplay straight into them and back.
Conclusion
Yes, the game has problems. No there isn’t any online multiplayer (Halo: CE also didn’t have any online multiplayer upon release so I guess as a remake, that decision makes some sense). Yes, in many areas it feels incomplete and could have/should have been better. But I still found myself having a blast going through the story, laying waste to hordes of Covenant and Flood with creative weapon combos, seeing the expansive and immersive vistas re-vitalized with gorgeous new visuals, and reliving one of the few great parts of my younger years with something that despite all of its problems still exudes passion and fun. At various points it should be clear to any classic OG Halo CE fan that this was clearly a labor of love. The game that released might have been rushed, but it is still a great throwback that comes recommended from me, and might come even more highly recommended if Halo Studios continues to patch the game and fix some of the more annoying bugs and issues.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

this has been awesome, i loved the original halo ce and this has been a great and faithful remake
fun
As of right now, I can't recommend the game vanilla. I can see the genuine effort that was put into the game by passionate creatives, but Microsoft/Halo Studios really need to stop outsourcing everything to save on the games budget. The game just reeks of being unfinished and unpolished. Which is honestly a tragedy that Halo 1 got a botched redo twice in a row. Halo CEA actually feels more feature complete than this one. The voice acting is hit and very miss. Keith Silverstein as Captain Keyes is incredible. However the acting direction for Cortana and Sgt. Johnson just doesn't feel like it fits either character or the context of the scene. David Scullys performance felt more real and improv, whereas in this game I feel Johnson speaks too casually for a career military professional. I think that the new voice actor does a great job, but I think the the acting director needs to let him let loose a little more. Jen Taylor is great in every other game, but this one I feel like the voice acting director was trying too hard to align the original Cortana with the personality of The Weapon from Halo Infinite. I can see WHY they did that, but just because I can understand it, doesn't mean they should have went with that direction. Cortana was sort of robotic in personality in the original, in this one she just sounds sassy and uninterested. The grunt voices are fine because they're the original lines, but the new Elite lines are just not good. I understand that the original voice lines in CE were just reversed voice lines from David Scully, but the dialogue in this one just feels generic and doesn't fit the context of the mission. Hearing "Let none escape!!" over and over on Legendary and then instantly dying gets old, very quickly. The levels and designs are beautiful and this is the best Halo has ever looked. On lower difficulties this feels like the first true Halo game in a while. Without spoilers the 343 Guilty Spark level is peak. I also really enjoyed The Maw. The problem is that with every step forward with Halo, we go 3 steps backward. Just let the people make the game and don't push unrealistic deadlines on the devs. Quality work comes from passion, not outsourcing to the lowest bidder. I'm tired of Halo being 'a step in the right direction' every game. I think if you want a proper remake of the original, this one is a good base for modding to create your own halo remake. I hope that the Halo 2 remake gets time in the oven and isn't rushed out the door but at this point in time i'm skeptical, but I'm leaving the door open to be surprised.
This will contain spoilers: tl;Dr is that it's probably the definitive way to play Halo 1 and the hate is genuinely forced, it's not without it's problems though. The good: Gameplay is fun and snappy, everything I expected from a modern Halo title. The amount of skulls and the introduction of remix adds a level of replayability that I wasn't expecting The graphics are stunning it kept the atmosphere from the original that the anniversary edition couldn't hope to capture. The addition of the bonus missions was a nice way to introduce the new Johnson VA the og VA was SO iconic it was still hard getting used to the new one I appreciate that some of the characters were more fleshed out. The bad: Performance is pretty dang good when the game runs but the constant crashes are unacceptable, there is clearly something wrong on the backend because I will crash over and over after loading back into a checkpoint even if it's moving just a couple feet. Some things are just TOO hand holdy. The introduction of stealth elites in the prequel missions were handled great with Johnson pointing out the moving sand but in the main game Cortana pointing out stealth elites falls so flat when giant red trackers pop up over their heads. This addition probably would've been fine for easier difficulties but it SHOULD NOT be on by default. Hitboxes are REALLY bad on some enemy types, Brutes are impossible to hit a headshot on, Elites are similar and the sniper is no longer hitscan and you can FEEL IT. The ugly: The loud insatiable Halo "fans" continue to parrot information that is just patiently false and it's hurting the community at large. Y'all have probably seen the photo of national women's day that people are toting as the "entire" dev team when it is in all actually barely a quarter of the team. The "girl boss" ODST has 30 seconds of screen time in cutscenes and says one or two disparaging things about the Chief which makes sense due to the animosity ODSTs held towards Spartans but by the end appreciates and respects him enough to sacrifice herself for the greater good of the war. The rumors that she is unkillable are false, the two main companions Williams and Johnson can't die while they have dialogue. The complaint about her "1 tapping you" are disingenuous as well because Johnson does the same. Additionally the complaints about not being able to kill the female officers on the bridge are unfounded because it's just another hitbox error, if you shoot them in the hips or lower they go down in one or two shots and it's reversed for the male characters if you shoot them in the torso they can tank more shots than anyone. Verdict: the campaign is good, but it needs serious fixes I'm confident when Halo 2 remake comes out that it will launch in a much better state
I don't know what people are complaining about. I enjoyed this game a lot.
awesome game
