14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Great Remake :)
Like old times
The game is fun, the gunplay is good. It's the best looking halo so far. The story and dialogue changes are much appreciated to better fit within the current lore and pave the way for a better future.
We're never getting a good Halo again boys. Make peace with the good times you had when you were a kid. To those who are too young to have experienced Halo you have missed out entirely. You were born in the wrong generation. Your dad should have nutted in your mom far sooner. You have been cheated in this life. May God have mercy on your wretched soul.
I don't think this review will be anything groudbreaking. Most of you who see this know what is already coming. I've been a fan of this series for decades and have been through the waves that come with this series and all it's ups and downs. I knew going into this the risk. I went in with low expectations, but I am disappointed. I also enjoy what 343 has done and primary spent my time on newer Halo games. I don't consider myself super attached to the original game. It was wonderful to see at 25 year old game on modern systems. It was great to replay through iconic levels with 4 players now. It was great to see an expanded sandbox. it was great to see the potential of a bunch of fun new skulls to play around with. 343 Guilty Spark has some amazing visuals that I think surpass the original game. The terminal lore is still solid. But most of what I liked was just playing the levels I knew again. Things I have already experienced. Most of the new things are what I heavily disliked. The level design was not reworked to accommodate sprint. I don't care too much about sprinting, but you do need to design around it. It's just goofy how much it breaks facing and encounter design. The cutscenes are just terrible. Visually this game does look good. I think you can nit pick the "how good", but overall it's nice to look at, but that's only when playing the game. The cutscenes, despite being prerended, somehow play poorly and were clearly rushed. The animation and pacing does not hit the mark. The prequel missions had potential, but just fell flat. No amount of awe that came from a slipspace jump in game can distract from the other 99% of the missions being forgettable, bland, and just boring. I can recall details from almost every other halo level on other games, but those three missions, despite being recent, are just one blur. It's also just riddled with issues. Connecting takes forever, the amount of hoops I have to jump through to play a single player game is obnoxious. I swear I may have been faster to go find my old xbox and CE disk than to let this game load. My system isn't groundbreaking, but shunting all the settings to low shouldn't be an experience like this. The AI is... bad. I have no better word than just... bad. It's heartbreaking that the first game I was ever truly disappointed in, is in a series I enjoy so much. I'll say the same others have, just get the MCC if you want to play the original Combat Evolved and haven't experienced it or want to play it again. This game I don't think could ever be worth 50$. I knew going in I would not have the same experience I once had. I knew that this game would be flawed. Don't make the same mistake. There is a world where this gets discounted, has a few more patches, and could be a fun pickup. But for now, play any other Halo game and it will be better.
this has been awesome, i loved the original halo ce and this has been a great and faithful remake
fun
This will contain spoilers: tl;Dr is that it's probably the definitive way to play Halo 1 and the hate is genuinely forced, it's not without it's problems though. The good: Gameplay is fun and snappy, everything I expected from a modern Halo title. The amount of skulls and the introduction of remix adds a level of replayability that I wasn't expecting The graphics are stunning it kept the atmosphere from the original that the anniversary edition couldn't hope to capture. The addition of the bonus missions was a nice way to introduce the new Johnson VA the og VA was SO iconic it was still hard getting used to the new one I appreciate that some of the characters were more fleshed out. The bad: Performance is pretty dang good when the game runs but the constant crashes are unacceptable, there is clearly something wrong on the backend because I will crash over and over after loading back into a checkpoint even if it's moving just a couple feet. Some things are just TOO hand holdy. The introduction of stealth elites in the prequel missions were handled great with Johnson pointing out the moving sand but in the main game Cortana pointing out stealth elites falls so flat when giant red trackers pop up over their heads. This addition probably would've been fine for easier difficulties but it SHOULD NOT be on by default. Hitboxes are REALLY bad on some enemy types, Brutes are impossible to hit a headshot on, Elites are similar and the sniper is no longer hitscan and you can FEEL IT. The ugly: The loud insatiable Halo "fans" continue to parrot information that is just patiently false and it's hurting the community at large. Y'all have probably seen the photo of national women's day that people are toting as the "entire" dev team when it is in all actually barely a quarter of the team. The "girl boss" ODST has 30 seconds of screen time in cutscenes and says one or two disparaging things about the Chief which makes sense due to the animosity ODSTs held towards Spartans but by the end appreciates and respects him enough to sacrifice herself for the greater good of the war. The rumors that she is unkillable are false, the two main companions Williams and Johnson can't die while they have dialogue. The complaint about her "1 tapping you" are disingenuous as well because Johnson does the same. Additionally the complaints about not being able to kill the female officers on the bridge are unfounded because it's just another hitbox error, if you shoot them in the hips or lower they go down in one or two shots and it's reversed for the male characters if you shoot them in the torso they can tank more shots than anyone. Verdict: the campaign is good, but it needs serious fixes I'm confident when Halo 2 remake comes out that it will launch in a much better state
They just cant get it right
