Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Aug 7 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
I have been a .hack// fan for decades now, and this game is a STEEP slide backwards. Instead of improving the (admittable) flaws of the combat from the original series, G.U. reinvents it entirely but wait... This time it's worse! The story and leveling is a neck-deep slog through stale cutscenes and drawn-out tutorial quests. After over 4 hours playing this game and giving it every chance I could, I can confidently say: Do NOT buy this game. Even discounted, it is not worth the disk space or your time. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. Good day to you.
This is a very good game. Wish the cloud saves would be fixed tho.

这一个点进去实际上时候要几个游戏,不过有年代感不推荐,很多机制都是。剧情党当补动漫看那些老番之类的凑合还行吧,哈哈哈,而且,貌似你得插手柄玩才行
one of the best games around
the prologue/ essence is intresting, but the rest of the feels repetitive and dull, making it easy to lose interest over time.
I love that I can play all 4 of these games. Now we just need the 4 origional, and the new game that is being worked on
.
This game, from the early days on playstation 2 was an absolute work of art. Boasting a deep story, ties to the original lore and characters from previous dot hack titles, incredibly deep character development, and no shortage of content to partake in, it almost makes you wish this game existed as an actual game in a vr space. all of that being said have patience if you intend to try it. The storyline starts off slow and then once it picks up speed is an avalanche of lore, development, and an all around love letter to the dot hack fandom. Thank you cyber connect and Namco for giving us "The last recode" and may this fandom always remember the joy this game brought us and still brings us to this day. --- After thought for anybody reading this: The pc port does have some graphical bugs in the way of choppy game play, however a quick google of your problem will pull up multiple articles on how to fix it for the most part. Still highly reccomend this game to anybody looking for an absolutely amazing single player game story experience.
