About
Gunswitch is a game that yearns for more! Thousands of monsters, ten thousands of bullets on-screen! Action packed with blood and explosions, mixed with the weight of realistic movement to capture the thrill of a fluidly approaching horde, skittering and slumbering in to get you. Steel yourselves for carnage! Steel won’t bleed, but cut through flesh.

Fight through massive armies, not only strong in numbers but in variety. You’ll come across enemies of all types and kinds, tough and muscular, fast and nimble, multitudes of bugs, giant lava monsters, or smarter humanoid species.
Monsters might decide to stick around with others like packs of wolves, make formations to increase their chances and as waves pass like tides of oceanic hell, they will get stronger.
Do anything to avoid your destruction. Run and herd them or push and knock them around with sheer force of firepower and explosions. This will be a case of natural selection. Hopefully it will be on your side.
Grab guns and upgrade them into sci-fi weapons of total mayhem. With modifications even a regular rifle can fire more projectiles, explosive bullets and have increased fire rate or higher stats all around. When one isn’t enough, get a new one!
Operate pawns, a squad of androids, equip each of them with these weapons, and there’s no limit to synergies and pure damage you might come across. Don’t worry, they will cover you automatically and you can switch between characters at will. They act like extra lives!

A future society of humans-turned-androids are locked in a facility called Cerberus. A space station designed to keep and research galactic level threats. Explore its each level filled with horrible dangers and help them get out.
A fluid, dangerous horde of monsters.
Guns with wild modifications that can shoot thousands of bullets!
Control a squad of androids that can cover you automatically. Or just use them as spare bodies.
Switch guns and characters on the spot to adapt, experiment and create new builds.
Escape Cerberus, a space prison with many levels and facilities.
Easy Local Co-Op, just plug in a controller and play as a squad member, drop in and out.

Core of the game, slaughtering aliens into pieces and combining different modifications to the weapons you use, is really fun and satisfying. Graphics look good to the eyes and deliver the atmosphere of the game successfully, but there’s still a lot of polish needed and a lot of content that should be added to make it feel more like a complete, playable, and overall more fun game. On my 4050 + Ryzen 7 7735HS laptop, the game's optimization didn’t make it unplayable, but FPS drops do happen from time to time. I believe this will improve over time with feedback from different hardware setups, and I trust the developers will handle it. When it comes to gameplay the game feels alright, but sadly, there are things that hurt that feeling, like the companion AI not even trying to survive. Some players might also want a crosshair, so having a simple toggle option would be nice. The UI and text at the main base also need some fixing. These things, like the UI and text, might seem minor and bearable for now, but people often look for small reasons to leave a negative review. So, if the idea of the game interests you, and if you trust me when I say the gameplay actually feels good, because it really does feel good watching those little creatures get torn apart, then you should buy the game and support the developers. Leave feedback through a review or post on Discord or Steam forums about what you like, what you’d want to see, or what you think can be improved. That way, you’re helping a small indie team make the game better, and you get a game you already liked the idea of, more polished and more enjoyable for yourself.
Fast, brutal, and super satisfying. The combat feels tight and every weapon packs a punch. Waves of aliens come at you nonstop and it never gets boring. The art is gritty, the music goes hard, and it nails that “just one more try” feeling. No fluff, just pure action. But fair warning—this game is not for casual players. It’s tough, unforgiving, and demands quick reflexes. If you’re not ready to die a lot while smiling through the chaos, this might not be for you. If you're into intense top-down shooters and love a challenge, this one’s a must. 9/10. Would gladly get wrecked again.
Really cool concept and solid core loop. If you're into bullet hells or survivor-style games, this one hits a sweet spot. I’m definitely coming back for more while waiting for the full release. Small feedback: I’d personally prefer to see my cursor on-screen. The red arrow thing and the laser sight help, but sometimes I just want that extra bit of precision. Also, try the laser gun. Trust me. Best weapon so far.
Good controls, good graphics and good optimisation. Variety of weapons and customization, hard creatures, good level design for basic tactics, destructible environment (barely) and extremely good theme musics. And this game reminds me Alien Shooter when I played I was a child. If you don't have much time but you want to play something makes you relax or you just want entertainment, this game is definitely for you. I say just give it a shot!
This game was enjoyable as a twin stick bullet hell. I play whit controller and had no issues with aiming, and have no need for a cursor as you can tell which way your firing and adjust your aim from that. No point in being precise, just spray and pray. Only thing that would make this game better would be Online co-op. 2nd best Twin Stick Shooter I've played this year.
Gunswitch is a fast-paced top-down arena shooter where you blast through waves of demonic aliens. You control a squad of customizable robots, switching weapons and characters on the fly to adapt to the chaos. The game focuses on intense bullet-hell action, with tons of projectiles and flashy upgrades. Set in a space prison, it mixes nonstop combat with light strategy. It’s still in Early Access, so expect some bugs and unfinished features—but if you enjoy wild, over-the-top shooters, it’s worth checking out.
Despite the naysayers - this is genuine fun. Controls need a tiny bit of time to get used to but it needs no refinement as many suggested. At least in my opinion. It is part of the fun that sometimes you get lost in the mess and you don't even know what you are shooting at. Focus, and you'll figure - in my opinion seeing the cursor would remove from the fun, it would degrade it to a point-and-shoot thing, which you can have in so many other games. The AI... well, simply let's not call the bots AI as that assumes intelligence ;) However, after 10-20 minutes you should get a feel for how to make them useful, when to take over to equip a new weapon or restore their health - other than that, you should pick your fav char and focus on causing as much damage to the largest body of aliens as possible. Leave the rest to the bots, they'll watch your back. Yes, their path finding leaves something to be desired, yes, they won't run after you but walk only - but hey, how unrealistic it would be if they would move together with you like an extension of your own character? Whilst it's annoying, it adds to the complexity that you have to plan your moves and paths accordingly while doing crowd-work on the enemies. Many criticised the wobbly aim while moving - I found that fun too, another thing just trying to add some realism and complexity to the game, and it is well executed. Honestly, at the completion level of the game and for its price - this is just genuine fun, it doesn't try to be more than what it is, a casual fun shooter to relax your brain a bit. If you keep it in mind and it is what you are looking for, give it a shot - you won't regret spending the price of a coffee on this game.
