Retired Marine Corps here, former infantryman and Iraq War vet. There are quite a few weapons in here that I'm intimately familiar with in real life, and not one of them feels right in this game. The MP5 feels comically huge while the Beretta 92 feels tiny and slim, the M1897 feels stick thin, the M67 frag is too small and the Mk 2 pineapple is way too big. After learning how to deal with the clunky-ass controls and playing with the surprisingly small number of guns (there were a few cool ones, but why so many versions of the P90?) I rebuilt the rifle I did my last rifle qual with, an M16A4 with ACOG, but when I sighted in the reticle was all ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wrong, and in that moment I realised this game was made by people who don't actually know anything about guns. Edit: the reason I bought this in the first place was because Google said it has the M202 FLASH, but apparantly the M202 FLASH is part of the Heavy Weapons DLC, which is not available on Steam.
this is actually ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awful, its not even funny. the inaccuracies on most of the weapons are completely unacceptable and cant be excused as you call yourself "the ultimate virtual weapon simulator." you want a good, realistic and actually fun to use weapon simulator? go play Hotdogs Horseshoes and Handgrenades. Theres a reason i have the amount of playtime on it that i do.
DISCLAIMER:: I STRONGLY RECOMMEND AGAINST BUYING THIS GAME UNLESS YOU HAVE A1 SECURITY I own this game on PS5 PRO VR2, where I paid !9.95 or so for it, maybe £17, it's not important. I have checked this breifly using my Valve Steam Press Account Key, and verified that it has the same problems on both platforms. This game is not bad, it's ameturish, and it's not the game or the developers fault that customers are having these problems. It's Windows System Security. I can tell you how to play your game, and it's going to cost you about 50 bux. You need a hardware security passkey, I have chose a Yubikey but am not sure if it's a pure fix yet. The devs, and you are all targeted by hackers. Thier hobby after scamming, and probablky to bring eope in involves intruding into civilian systems and causing havok. This is special, because you probably bought this because you have a gun, and the grave tells no tales. I am an ex loudmouthed journalist who was forced from the industry, and at a system security university before that, where I pounded girls inste4ad of books, and I guess they were vinegary. So I've had this since database class at UMIST, where I came up with my password in labs LOL. The failure of the devs is they have not locked up enough of the software with constants, and are relying on variables. This is the sequence: You buy the game, you load the game, the game says hello to a bunch of online services, some of which are obviously plaintext or reveal IP information. A scripted bot records your IP and starts watching for the games ports to become available. As soon as your game goes online your computer goes up on thier server list, probably with a bunch of information on how to make you cry and things most likely to get you to perform acts. Likley similar to the scripts used in call centers. This allows experience and power to anyone who wishes to play seriously. The attacking system scans your memory like a cheatcart for a gameboy or other cart console, and extracts all the variables. This allows them to change grip paramaters, position of your gun, direction bullets fly etc, and every malfunction you can imagine because: Experienced skript kiddie sadists have a scripting language, and when they find someone worthwhile they create automated script games. In grand tourismo 7 enemy players can push and spin my car in specific pre scripted situations. Every day all day every game. Sony are well aware, and my gt7 replays have started to be renamed end of the world in japanese, so someone is a bit upset. I mean in my account, my saved replays, that i cannot rename. Japan is upset. For you get a hardware key and the game will be fine but probably a bit amateurish. it seems overly ambitious honestly, but i think it's fine. I LITERALLY LOST MY STEAM PRESS ACCOUNT KEY TO WRITE THIS REVIEW. PLEASE TAKE ME SERIOUSLY!
Gun Club VR is a VR-focused firearms simulation that commits fully to authenticity, tactile interaction, and mechanical fidelity rather than traditional shooter spectacle. Developed and published by The Binary Mill, the game positions itself not as an action-heavy FPS or narrative-driven experience, but as a highly interactive virtual shooting range where the handling of weapons is the primary attraction. From the moment you step into the range, the design philosophy is clear: Gun Club VR is about how guns feel in your hands, how they operate, and how precisely you can control them using motion controllers in a virtual space. The strongest aspect of Gun Club VR lies in its meticulous approach to weapon interaction. Every firearm requires hands-on operation, including racking slides, pulling charging handles, loading magazines, toggling safeties, and clearing jams. These actions are not abstracted into button presses but instead rely on physical gestures, making each weapon feel distinct and grounded in real-world behavior. Pistols, rifles, shotguns, and heavier weapons all demand different handling techniques, and mastering these nuances becomes part of the satisfaction. The sense of presence is particularly strong when aiming down sights or performing rapid reloads under pressure, reinforcing the idea that the game is less about reflex shooting and more about procedural skill and muscle memory. Gameplay is structured around a wide variety of shooting challenges rather than a single continuous campaign. Traditional target practice modes sit alongside themed scenarios such as hostage situations, zombie waves, and historical shooting galleries. These challenges introduce time pressure, accuracy requirements, and situational awareness without straying too far from the game’s range-based foundation. While enemies are often represented by stylized or abstract targets rather than fully animated combatants, this choice keeps the focus on shooting mechanics rather than combat realism, which aligns with the game’s simulator identity. Progression in Gun Club VR is driven by performance-based rewards. Completing challenges earns in-game currency that can be used to unlock new firearms and an extensive array of attachments. Customization is deep and satisfying, allowing players to modify optics, grips, barrels, stocks, and cosmetic finishes. This system encourages experimentation, as different attachments meaningfully affect weapon handling and performance. For players who enjoy tinkering and optimization, the act of building and fine-tuning a firearm can be just as engaging as using it in the range. Despite its strengths, the game’s narrow focus can also be a limitation. Environments are functional but repetitive, often resembling variations of indoor ranges or warehouse-style layouts. Over time, the novelty of shooting scenarios may diminish, especially for players looking for environmental variety or narrative context. Audio design, while serviceable, does not always match the level of detail found in the weapon models themselves, occasionally reducing the sense of impact during extended play sessions. These shortcomings do not undermine the core experience, but they do highlight where the game prioritizes mechanics over atmosphere. Gun Club VR’s appeal is inherently specialized. It resonates most strongly with players who appreciate firearms from a mechanical or hobbyist perspective and who enjoy deliberate, hands-on interaction rather than fast-paced competitive play. The lack of multiplayer or story-driven progression may leave some players wanting more, but for others, this focused design is precisely what makes the experience so compelling. The game excels as a sandbox for learning, practicing, and enjoying virtual gun handling without real-world risk. Overall, Gun Club VR stands as one of the more confident and fully realized firearm simulators available in virtual reality. Its commitment to realism, detailed weapon interaction, and extensive customization systems gives it a clear identity that separates it from conventional shooters. While it may not offer broad appeal or long-term variety for every player, it delivers exactly what it promises: a deeply tactile, immersive shooting range experience that showcases the unique strengths of VR as a medium. For players seeking authenticity and hands-on engagement above all else, Gun Club VR remains a standout title in the VR library. Rating: 7/10
Just buy Hotdog horseshoes and handgrenades
Great shooting practice and cheaper than actual ammo. Super fun!
great start for anyone wanting to play with guns in vr, i like putting as many lasers on a gun as possible, instead of using the sights. feels like the guns are not aligned with my hand which is weird, but the game works well.
Один из лучших, но не самых реалистичных симуляторов ТИР'а, отдача и стрельба достаточно казуальны на некоторых пушках, из плюсов это большой спектр оружия и наличие разнообразных миссий, например зомби миссии.
psvr1 classic
